E-Web List - which command cards should I pick?

By aRandomBoardGamingDude, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Mostly play casual games

eEweb Engineer 8

eEweb Engineer w/ targeting computer 9

Eweb Engineer 6

Eweb Engineer 6

Imperial Officer 2

Imperial Officer 2

Imperial Officer 2

eImperial Officer 5

40

What command cards should I take? I always take the wrong ones, I was thinking to the Limit at the end of a turn and then rally at the start would be a good combo, but what are the odds of getting em both not high I imagine

I own core, return to hoth, Bespin gambit, twin shadows, wookie warriors, han solo and chewie and the Grand Inquisitor if that helps with suggesting command cards

To the Limit doesn't do anything with eweb engineers. They don't have a special action to use.

they'd get to move tho, right? Or they only get to do the special action? in that case it could have synergy with cruel strike because they gain a special ability

AND I could always use it with the eOfficer to use an e-web

You can only play To the Limit after a special action, and it stuns you immediately after the next action completes (so definitely no moving).

Also, you can't move during your activation if you shoot anyway with ewebs.

It does work with command card special actions, but now you're talking 2 card combos, and Cruel Strike is pretty bad anyways.

Using To the Limit on an officer seems pretty bad. The only real way to use it is move, order, then attack with the officer then he's stunned. Sounds like a pretty dead officer if he moved up far enough to shoot someone.

Really though, you're playing casually, so you can just take whatever command cards you like. It doesn't matter if they're great or anything.

Correct me if I'm wrong: your intention is to activate eWeb -> play cruel strike -> move -> play to the limit?

First of all, eWebs can either spend all of its actions to move or shoot, but no mixing due to Tripod (so you can't move then shoot or shoot then move)

To the limit's trigger is after you resolve a special action which eWeb have none by itself (unless you play cruel strike)

what would work: activate eWeb -> first action shoot, play cruel strike as 2nd action (shoot 2nd time) -> play to the limit (shoot 3rd time) -> to the limit resolves and you're stunned

eIO's Exec order is special action, and you can't Exec Order twice (you need single purpose from R2D2's pack to do that)

A very common mistake for to the limit: you play it after you resolve a special action (not just any action), it gives you an additional action but it does NOT override the "may only attack once" or "may only use special action once" rule. You need something else to override them

Casual or not ... you shouldn't expect to win a single game with that list ...

I'd pick a mix of these

New Orders

Inspiring Speech

Emergency Aid

Planning

Fleet Footed

Urgency

Lock On

Explosive Wpnry x2

Squad Swarm

Size Advantage

Marksman x2

Field Technician

Camoflauge

Take Initiative

Negation

Rally

Stealth Tactics

You'll have difficulty with most maps dealing with any objectives or even getting into position to shoot, you may consider dropping the regular eWebs for some storm troopers to help capture terminals and objectives etc

I figured for the most part it would be a way around the errata for the Imperial Officers because two movement points is all an E-Web gets anyway.
