How about that Grey shuttle with 4 wings...Zeta-Class I think? it looked to have a mission dropable pod?
Stats for new Rogue One vehicles
How about that Grey shuttle with 4 wings...Zeta-Class I think? it looked to have a mission dropable pod?
Zeta-class cargo shuttle, indeed. It's on my radar to stat up. The cargo pod is modular is design, meant to be attached and dropped quickly. Reminds me of the salon pod from the Consular-class in terms of what PC's could do with a few cargo pods. One of my players has already brought up the age old q-ship design of filling the pod full of missile systems.

As an Honor Harrington reader, this pleases me.

As a Thunderbirds fan, the Zeta-Class excites me! This ship cold be the Thunderbird 2 of Star Wars! Imagine a Rebel group with a captured Zeta-Class with interchangeable cargo pods that can differ per mission. Sweet.

I'm workin' on it. My OCD on these things isn't letting me completely finish til I can find a good overhead shot of it to make a vehicle silhouette for OggDude's character generator for it.

You have 24 hours
I am going to use one in my game tomorrow night. I will have a go of making one up too. I am sure you'll do a better job though
I'm about to head to work, so can't pull what I have so far, but if it helps, based on their similar size, I used a Sentinel landing craft as my foundation.

Oh? The errata'd version?
Whichever one was in Oggy's Character Generator/Data Editor.
A colleague at d20 also took a stab at the TIE Striker... his stats are pretty close! Also done after the movie was out, as opposed to mine which was prior to the film.

Here is my go at the Zeta-class Shuttle. I am not sure how to post an image on these boards?

Let me know what you think.
The weapons seem off: two-barrelled cannons with Linked 2/3?
The weapons seem off: two-barrelled cannons with Linked 2/3?
Oops. I missed that the wing cannons are 2 x 2 barrelled. Would that make it linked 3?
Can anyone clarify the " 3 hull-mounted laser cannons" from http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Zeta-class_cargo_shuttle
Are they 3 x individual cannons or all fire-linked. I am guessing they are linked considering the crew of 2?

That's what's giving me the toughest time to stat out. There appears to be one mounted to each side of the cockpit, but I can't figure out where the third is. That impacts firing arcs and final stats.

I just had a look at the Rogue One Visual Dictionary and I can't see anywhere in the picture that there are 3 cockpit cannons, only the 2 on each side?
Also, what may complicate things further is the the dictionary mentions that the cockpit guns can be fired in conjunction with the wing guns. How does fire link work with 4 x 2 guns, with each 2 x 2 being Heavy blasters and 2 x 2 being medium?
Maybe it should be more of a case that the Pilot can fire one set and the co-pilot can fire the other set both at the same time, with 2 different rolls?

Yeah, I'd hoped that the Visual Guide would clear up that question mark, too. No such luck.
It's still an amazing book, though.
Ok, I have modified my Zeta-class stats to make it 2 x Twin Heavies on the wings and 2 x Twin Mediums on the cockpit. This will have to do for tonight's game

Does anyone recall a somewhat larger version of the TIE Striker in Rogue One? I'm pretty sure I saw a glimpse of a larger version (same wings, bigger hub) towards the end of the movie while Jyn was on the comms tower. If I recall correctly, it was implied that either Krennis and/or a squad of his Deathtrooper bodyguards were aboard it. If my memory is correct it was flying with a couple normal TIE Stikers, which is probably the only reason I noticed it was different. But, I can't find an image or article online regarding the larger TIE Striker shuttle?? Did anyone else catch a glimpse or did I just imagine it?
Edited by Sturn@ Sturn: Yeah! I totally remembering seeing that ship, but its not in the Visual Guide or really anywhere else I have noticed. It deploys the Deathtroopers onto the beach. Looks to be in the same sort of design family as the TIE Striker, but clearly a different ship that is noticeably larger.
Also, I've had my own go at the Zeta-class Shuttle. Put in some rules for modular cargo pods, including a little Q-Ship inspired surprise for would be pirates. Check it out here if you like: http://www.d20radio.com/main/holonet-uplink-zeta-class-cargo-shuttle-modular-pod-options/

Love the modular pod concepts.

Love the stats!
Adopting them over my rough draft.
