2nd Djinn

So you call him a djinnlengua.gif

It sounds better as a genni..

It is probably the same, but this one looks human and no ghostpreocupado.gifhappy.gif

Let's say that's a habbit gui%C3%B1o.giflengua.gif

Editted original post to: Oops, nevermind. I found my own answer by re-reading the text. lengua.gif

Ok, But i thought that it was not the same character.

A djinn looks like a ghost, and the genni looks human and have legs..happy.giflengua.gif

But the translation book, refers genni to genie..preocupado.gif while a genie is a ghost..preocupado.gif

It is probably all the same...

Well, no. Genie and Djinn are both the same thing, it is just another name for the exactly same thing. Also, in Polish we call that kind of creature as dzinn, so You know why the Djinn from me.. ;] To much You played HoMM 3 xD

oke, well, i am happy to call it a Djinngran_risa.gif

I actually did not like the word genni..

And because we have already a genie adventure card, then Djinn will be a very good word for it gran_risa.gif

Genie and Djinn

the genie is good the djin is evil this is what i learned from aladin.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genie but here is the best but the word dschinn is in germany not usal in use.

The bad Djinn is called as Efreet

How funny would it be, if the Djinn will meet the genie in the talisman world lengua.gif

Go Velhart to Talisman Rules forum, I asked two questions for You ~ gran_risa.gif

He is a friend, he gives 3 Spells of our choice, but everytime he cast one, we are losing 2 life until we are dead <OK>

Nah, i like it more if efreet will help evil characters, and is doing the same as the geniegran_risa.gif

A question about that lady's one ability. Today on my board about Talisman, I had a very angry discussion about her first ability:

- Instead of attacking another character, you can try to seduce him. The character loses
his next turn and has to give you a Object or gold, which is his choice.

What about Objcects that the Character want to give Courtisan, however she cannot have them because of her Alignment? I see two options:

1) Character is giving the Object, however it is ditched on the space, because Courtisan cannot possess it.

2) Character wants to give her the prohibited Object, however since she cannot have it, she cannot take it, so the Character cannot give it to her, so the Object stays with a Character who had a night with a Courtisan.

Personally I'm "supporting" the second option as a more relevant with Rules (and Can/Cannot rules).

It;s a very good question, but i will choose for your first question.

The character is giving her a object that she cannot possess, and you must ditch it then. ( the same idea if you draw a adventure card, and you must ditch it.

Otherwise, her ability will never work if a other character possess objects that she may not have, due to her alignment.

---------------------------------------------

If the ability would say that the Courtisan can decide for herself wich object she want, then she can not take it.

But now, she gets it from the character gui%C3%B1o.gif

Nice present then gran_risa.gif Other character can easily pick it up later in the game

But then this violate a rule that a Character cannot cast a Mesmerism if he cannot take for example Mercenary (because no gold) as well as cannot take Black Unicorn (because the Character didn't defeated it), instead of casting the Spell then leaving the card on the space caster actually is.

BTW, in the angry discussion I was saying that she's a weak Character (of course a little better than Priest or Elf, but still weak).

Yes, but the difference is that a other character gives it to her, instead that the Courtisan will take something from the other character.

So, it's not the same.

About mesmerize is another story. she will cast it herself, but she cannot take a follower if the keyword follower is not on the card.

The best example is that it's somewhat the same as she draw a adventure card, but she cannot possess it, so she must ditch it

i was feeling a little guilty about that discussion.

i like to chat with you gran_risa.gif

I think that all those characters are fun to play with.

Why are You feeling guilty? I was saying that she's a weak Character, ebcause there is no good Followers at all, also as for now there is exactly 32 single Followers (around of 36 with doubles) and 86 single Objects (and over 100 with doubles), and even Thief with his only 1 Ability is a lot better than she with her 4 abilities gui%C3%B1o.gif

But I'm talking about discussion between me and other user on my board about Courtisan, not about the discussion with me and You about Illusionist lengua.gif

And I like chat with You too, and since we are in good timing, I would like to sorry You that I didn't responded a PM You sent to me, but I read the mail few months later after You sent it (now I'm checking that mail more frequently, even once per 2 weeks happy.gif). BTW, when I start to translate Mephisto Characters into Polish, I credited You as "our very good Follo.. Friend" gran_risa.giflengua.gif (in Polish translation of Talisman, Follower = Przyjaciel = Friend gui%C3%B1o.gif)

And true, they're very fun to play, especially Soldier of Fortune. BTW that's the topic about Mephisto on my board: gamekeeper.offnet.pl/forum/viewtopic.php

Oh, i was refering to the illusionist debatehappy.gif it was a long debate..

But i can't call the Courtisan weak. If someone has a unicorn, then she can steal it, by taking it.

The thief can steal what he want, but if the courtisan will seduce a character, then that character must also lose a turn+ he lose a object or gold. That's pretty good, and something what the thief don't have..gran_risa.gif

But the thief has his own unique specials.

i saw the pictures on the polish forum now. gran_risa.gif

It's funny to see the pictures that i have posted herelengua.gif

Thanks for saying thishappy.gif
