Clarification on spending XP on cards

By TsuruchiSquad, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

So spending XP to buy cards and upgrade your deck.

If I (for example) were to purchase the upgraded version of Magnifying glass am I obligated to remove the previous version from my deck???

I know that if I were to spend a reduced amount of XP to 'upgrade' a card (something I think isn't possible with what comes in the core set) I have to take out the cheaper version but what if I just straight out buy the better one?

Does the same apply?

(please say no, I like the idea of Roland wondering around with two magnifying glasses getting a double zoom effect)

You are limited to 2 copies of a card by title, so you could add a leveled Magnifying Glass to your deck if you're playing with only one copy to start with.

If, however, you had two level 0 copies, you would have to upgrade one in order to use the leveled version.

And, of course, you're still limited to 30 cards (plus the mandatory signatures, weaknesses, and any earned campaign assets), so you'll have to remove something to make room for it.
