Speaking quietly, in a Bothan sort of way (on my way to die finding something out for somebody, surely)...
I'd like to thank the 'rules lawyers' here. It is annoying during a game, and is rightly considered frustrating by most.
However, the mainstays doing it together respectfully over in the Rules Questions Forum (except for gutless, anonymous PM's) - produces a clear FAQ (eventually). I, for one, teach a lot of folks the game and rely on those clarifications - and am glad to not have to debate it out with my local folks (I get enough of that at work as a teacher).
When I noticed that some of ya'll take flak for it, but still had a robust and fair discussion on RLB's; I wanted to let everyone know that it is appreciated and enjoyed. Thanks for doing the work so the rest of us can enjoy the matches we play.
Also, it's slated to be -12F (ambient, with -50F windchill) here this weekend and the nearest game shop is 100mi away. Your theory crafting, number crunching, and debating the worth of various items is the majority of my fleet design input. Hours of entertainment for me here lately.
Godspeed and Merry Christmas season to you (and a Happy New Year)
