When will FFG Announce The ROGUE ONE Expansion?

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

It probably will happen. Just like HOTR it will not for a bit. I'm guessing an announcement around January or February and a release by end of summer.

They could do a Rebel Veterans pack with Rogue One paint jobs on the models and fresh pilots and upgrades for the X- and Y-Wings. In fact, I'd be shocked if they didn't do something at least close to this.

It'd give them a chance to add a few more extra Integrated Astromechs, and a new way for Rebel Y-Wings to get Elite upgrades (a squadron title of some kind?).

Rebel Veterans sounds great! I really hope is something like this. X and Y are probably the most iconic rebel ships (aside from the millennium falcon). They should get an aces treatment

Easiest way would be to release a Campaign box, Fall of an Empire.

This box would include ALL the missing X wing and Y wing, as well as TIE Fighter, Advanced, Bomber and Interceptor pilots from Battle of Scariff, Yavin, Hoth, Endor and Jakku.

Crew cards such as a Imperial K2 and a Rebel Only K2-SO unique, storm trooper gunners, Astromechs, ship titles, etc.

Also, Squadron Condition cards that can be purchased for two or more ships. Example:

Rogue Squadron - 1 point.

At the start of the game, assign this condition card to two or more X wing ships.

At the start of the shooting phase, if ships with this condition card are within range 1 of each other and did not overlap another ship in the activation phase, they may re-roll up to two blank results when attacking or defending this round.

Gold Squadron - 2 points

At the start of the game, assign this condition card to two or more Y wing ships.

Ships with this condition card assigned may do one of two things when using upgrades with the [bomb] symbol.

: Deal 1 additional damage when a token is removed

: Use a focus to modify attack dice when rolling for damage due to a ship overlapping a bomb token.

Saber Squadron - 1 point

At the start of the game, assign this condition card to two or more TIE Interceptor ships with a PS value of 5 or lower.

Each round, the first time you are assigned a stress token, you may remove it and gain an evade token.
