But what about Super-Counter?

But what about Super-Counter?

Is that where you go to do something stupid, and your opponent leans across the table and punches you in the face?

Because I don't like Super-Counter.

I can't wait to launch Boba Fett from my Vader commandeered ISD-I.

I am a proud co-owner of the Bespin map.

RLB text:

"For each squadron you would activate with this command, you may instead place 1 of your set-aside squadrons within distance 1. It cannot move this activation."

Is the key word "instead", as a replacement effect? Meaning, instead of activating the squadron you can replace the activation with this set-aside placement? Also meaning the placed squads can't do their normal activation (move/shoot)? If this is the case, why bother with the unnecessary text "It cannot move this activation"?

Very poorly worded card.

So you can launch and shoot, but not move.

I think the funny thing about relay for rebels is it can make CR90's and support nebs as platforms for sqaud cmds since many of the powerful rebel carriers are unble to send the glut of their squad activations through.

for rapid launch bays, are the squadrons that you place able to shoot, or are they not activated

So could you activate a squadron you dropped on the same turn from the same ship?

These are questions being discussed in the rules sub-forum.

There is a tentative agreement among a few of us that would say you get to place a squad instead of activating it. You can then activate it for another squad command "point" and it can shoot but cannot move if it is the same ship that placed it. Another ship could do a normal activation I think.

It's 6 pages of discussion.

I'm not saying I'm correct, but it's the best we have hashed out.

you place them, they are not activated

You could, but it would require spending 1 squad point to place and 1 squad point to activate. Note that the squadrons placed can't move during the activation of the SHIP that placed them.

Wow. Poor man's yavaris anyone?

Out of interest, how did we get hold of these images? Does this suggest they'll be available to buy soon?

FFG recently marked them as "shipping Now" which means they are being sent to distributors. FFG traditionally allows stores to sell their products ASAP, which I assume then is also true of their distributors. So as soon as a distributor received it they sent it to stores, which sold it to customers, who posted it up on facebook. They also seem to have some of the new X-Wing releases, so they probably work for the store or distributor and got them almost immediately when the package came in.

FFG traditionally allows stores to sell their products ASAP, which I assume then is also true of their distributors.

Generally, Not the Case. Well, its not the way FFG intends, anyway.

FFG has a stated "Street Date" for Product, and product should not be sold by Vendors before that date. Distributors are to onsell product to Vendors so they arrive the day of, or the day before, Street Date...

Selling a product before Street Date is one of the fastest ways to be sanctioned by FFG and/or their Exclusive Distributors worldwide. This can lose you Organised Play, Discount Levels, or even availability of Product, depending on your initial status.

However

That being said, there are different international agreements, and can deal with different international editions. For example, the French Edition can be onsold by the French Distributor the moment its finished and finalised... If it is done concurrently, that means it can have a street date BEFORE the English Edition;s Street Date (As what appears to be happening now)...

But Generally Speaking... The Street Date is a North American Street Date, and although they endeavour to have it be a World-Wide Street Date, they can't (and won't) Gurantee it as such - - only state that worldwide, it may be later.

Dras is correct. Selling inventory before its street date is flirting with disaster. The FFG secret police will find you sooner or later and drop that slow-moving inventory ship on you.

On that note.. why haven't the remaining unspoiled CC squads popped up yet?

Could possibly be that no-one has physically cracked one of the CC boxes open at a distributor/vendor yet.

Seriously someone get on this!

Still, I hope that when ffg releases the squadrons article someone will create a "you're late at your own party, ffg" thread.

CC is out there too. According to a poster on BGG. The only info given is that the map is paper and not a board.

Paper is a bull map.
