With wave x hitting the shelves in the moment, what do you think is the closest to competitive build possible using newest stuff and imperial firespray?
Best Imperial Firespray build possible right now?
You'll get a lot of wise cracks about this, but I think they can be played. Boba Fett with PTL, Recspec, Engine is pretty solid. Yes you will have to dial in bank 1's a lot (green maneuver but also allows his ability), but engine will let you re-adjust and PTL still lets you take an action. Also, I like Trellix with HLC and recspec.
I wish I knew. My biggest motivation to get started painting minis was the weirdness of having two identical Slave 1's in my fleet. Rather than go with a Kath Scarlett, I decided to make a standard issue Imperial blue/grey Firespray 31. Here is the result next to my 5yo daughters army man.
Now all I need is a halfway decent application of the platform.
Edit- list removed as it was messed up

Boba with Expertise doesn't seem bad. Neither does Kras... oh right. No EPT.

Best build? Throwing them away, don't even give them away because you don't want to wish that evil on anyone.
In all seriousness I think the 3 generics is probably the best.

In my mind, if you're spending half of your points on one ship then it really needs to either be very tanky (Kanan Ghost) or be able to spike damage and mitigate enemy greens and tokens (Party Bossk, Chirpy w/ Vader, Gunner). Imperial firesprays don't have the durability or the offense to punch at their price point (and Scum 'sprays are still marginal).
This might not be awful?
Im going to try this soon

Bounty Hunters give each other TLs, then take evade for action, pumping up Sabacc to 6 dice while he cowers behind their tactical jammers.
Using Expertise on a Firespray opens up that Evade action a lot. Maybe run a crew that can get you some other dice mods or otherwise boost your defense a bit more. You could throw on Slave 1 for Extra Munitions and go with a missile build, too, being able to spend more actions on Target Locks due to Expertise.
I suspect we'll be waiting another 4 years for a firespray upgrade. Boba Fett stand alone is a long ways away.
I dunno...

lol this is awesome. Like most things, it probably is way too difficult to execute on the table, but the idea is one I can get behind.

I like this one too. Might need some tweaking as you won't be able to get much out of tactical jammer with light weight frame on the striker.
does the other friendly ship have to have the TL action to acquire a target lock? Then Sabaac could get a TL for his dice, so you don't roll 5 blanks on his awesome dice
How about this.

Trelix acts as a long range threat while Sabacc pounds things in the early game. Omega Leader plinks away at things and sets up the end game. Plus with OpSpec you can end up with a focus+reroll for Trelix, defensive focus for OL, or focus+evade+reroll for Sabacc. Mods all round and some good early game firepower and the best closer in existence.
I always wondered about Expert Handling to give it a Barrel Roll. I'd think with the dual arcs that it would help, but never tried it.
I really like expert handling on scum kath. It can be pretty easy to get range 1 rear arcs that way.
I was kicking around this:
Scum Boba: Expertise, Engine, Latts Razzi (49)
Asajj Ventress: PtL, Gyroscopic Targeting, title, K4(or Dengar), Glitterstim, Burnout Slam (51)
Asajj tries to throw stress around, Boba does Boba things and jams into range 1 for his bonus and hopefully does some damage.
The best Imperial build is Scum?
The best Imperial build is Scum?
Pretty much...
This is the build I'm thinking about, especially in the world of highly upgraded 2-3 ship lists.
Krassis, HLC, Agent Kallus = 45
Agaisnt one target, you have an almost fully modded 4 dice attack action free, and with evade as your action, you have pretty strong defense agaisnt the same enemy ship. It can be customized for further threats as points allow. Countermeasures let's you avoid at least part of an ordnance alpha strike. Slave 1 + Long Range Scanners gives you a TL in your pocket to use at Range 1 or rear arc targets. Connor Net would give you some anti-ace utility.
You could make the same build with Boba Fett packing Predator or Lone Wolf for similar effect. That ends up being something like a Dengaroo Dengar, but with an HLC, and agaisnt only one ship. Might not be great, but it's pretty strong against low ship count lists.
This might not be awful?

Epsilon Ace moves at PS12 until he takes a damage card so he can paint anyone with a TL for the two bounty hunters. Best I can dream up at the moment.
