The U isnt much more than a B outside its second crew slot and Heffe shenanigans

and the occasional 2 agility may be slightly more than nothing if augmented with enough focus

rey, jyn and enough rec spec come to mind, esp if you can get jan chipping in

rey/rec spec + jyn + fcs = focus + evade + FCS

comes out to 29/30 points on the ps 2

I'm planning on trying Cassian with Expertise, FCS, Gunner and Hot Shot Copilot. Sure; it's expensive but it should chew through tokens and then ships nicely.

Keep in mind that Cassians pilot ability only affects other friendly ships.

True but with Advanced Sensors, you can trigger Rage any turn you know you will be pulling a Green and end the activation phase with 3 rerolls, a Focus token and no Stress.

I assume Skargoth used Cassian as he is the only pilot with an EPT slot. His own pilot ability could help buddies perhaps.

Since the days of the U-Boats I wanted to find something similar for Rebels, as I don't play Scum and wasn't going to buy three Jumpmasters just to try it out. Never could work it out though, can't have deadeye + enough modifications anywhere and relying on TL for ordnance seems a shoddy idea. But then FFG gave us Bodhi Rook, like an anwser to my prayers.

Comes down to 99 points, but Bodhi goes full blast at some point to ensure TL to his wingmen, then you have two well modified, crack-shotted torpedo strikes. It doesn't have the mind-numbingly powerful alpha of the U-Boats, but has nice gimmicks for afterwards (Nera's out of arc torps and Horton's TLT). Dunno if it will work as planned, but I'm going to try it out once I get an U-Wing.

Also, you could switch Plasmas to Protons on Horton for full mods. Or take away his EM / crackshot to make him a less enticing target (as optimally he's the one to stick around to the late game), and buff up the U-Wing crew.

I'm toying with the idea of ion projector + Sabine on either the blue squadron or Heff. Set up to bump, get bumped (hopefully move limit where the ship goes next turn), and if it works, drop a thermal detonator (or maneuver-timed bomb of choice) on the way out. Ideally, try to position what you've paired it with at range 2 to stay out of detonator range but ready to put some focus fire on the ship during the combat phase.

That's it... I will be getting 2 U wings!

just beware the wings. They're built solidly enough, but anything that long and bendy is freaking snap prone

Miranda might be better than Poe strictly because Poe has to dodge around two large bases to get a shot. Odds are hes going to be far away, bumping, or right in front (which is bad).

Miranda doesnt care, she has a turret. And has bombs to discourage chasing.

I have tried Cassian The Cunning with Rey + Experthandling, and it worked quite well. She barrell rolls, he relieves her stress. He attacks first, and if misses, passes her a focus token, then attacks again with FCS, hoping to strip tokens for Reys big shot.
