Can anybody tell me which Specialisation tree gives the quickest/cheapest path to gaining a Force Point?
Which Specialisation tree gives the quickest/cheapest path to gaining a Force Point?
Navigator from Savage Spirits. 50xp. But it only has 1 rank of the talent.
Sage is the cheapest path to getting 2 ranks. 135xp
Both values assume you already have the talent tree too.
Now the real question, why?
Unlimited Power!

Just curiosity really... only ever played one Force Sensitive PC and wanted to do some research before next time... I have now managed to download all the trees to take a look at.
Some notes...
Consular Healer - 90
Niman - 125
Consular Sage - 70 - plus 65 for a second (no Dedication though) +3 Strain, Disengage Incidental
Guardian Peace keeper 120 +6 Wounds total
Protector - 90 to Dedication, 25 more to Force Rating, inc. +4 Wounds total and +2 Strain total
Force Sensitive Exile and Force Sensitive Emergent give you a Force Rank of 1 if you don’t already have an FR. IMO, buying those Universal specs would probably be the quickest way.
Edited by bradknowlesIf you're building a full featured "jedi" the quickest/cheapest (2 specs) way to do this is by taking the sentry (from endless vigil) and Niman-disciple trees in either order. Between them you can get FR 3, Dedication 2, a bunch of parry, more reflect, improved reflect, saber throw, and the Niman disciple move related lightsaber combat talents, and Niman technique which let's you use willpower for lightsaber attacks, considering that discipline is the skill needed to use most and resists all forcepowers and it keys off willpower... that's pretty awesome. If you build a human get the 10 extra starting xp and spend all of your starting xp on attributes... you could have 3 brawn, 3 agility, 5 wisdom, and a 3 in intelligence or cunning or presence with the other two being 2's with force rating 3 at the end of those 2 specs, with the move, sense, and enhance powers and influence force powers and some upgrades for each you can do most of what movie jedi can do. My recommendation for a 3 spec would be force sensitive emergent from aor, which will get you to willpower 6, force rating 4, and the force of will talent (once per session you can use willpower instead of the attribute normally associated with a skill), along with 2 toughened and a bunch of other nifty force talents, and between the talents in sentry and force sensitive emergent you will probably roll vigilance/initiative better than any other PC or npc.
edit: oh and take "steely nerves" as a scar talent (forged in battle, the last 2 pages of the book) to protect your willpower (and presence) rating(s) against critical hits.
Edited by EliasWindriderI've seen multiple people show up in open games and start building straight force ratings, then later they realize having Willpower 2 is kind of bad if you want to dominate everyone with force powers.

Just a small clarification here both, if you aren't already force sensitive you cannot become so unless you buy either of these specs since the F&D specs do not give you "you gain fr 1" meaning you don't qualify to get the additional FR , and since this is built into the F&D careers (not the specs), hence forcing you to buy into either of these to gain your FR1. Oddly you could have FR +7 times immediately jumping you from 0 to 8.
