Royally ticked off *Warning, rant*

Something like 800 million people are starving and homeboy is crying because his plastic toys will be a couple weeks late. Bigger issues dude.

Oh yes, certainly first world problems. War is happening, people are dying from war, starvation, crime, all manner of things. Bigger picture is there and being observed.

There is always someone with more pressing problems, and there are always bigger problems around the corner. Doesn't stop me having an opinion on this relatively small issue.

That being said...I am human, and along with it comes feelings. Do I not have a right to feel upset something? Even if it is very minor in the grand scheme of the universe?

Anyone who looks at anything and says 'First world problems' is being nothing but unhelpful, condescending, and a hypocrite. We've all moaned about something at some point and it's rude to just throw the argument away rather than just open a dialogue and discuss things.

We watched this movie last year. FFG tries to cram movie- related product out for the new movie at the same time as developing the core line. My prediction is that we will see the same thing as last year, with Wave 10 not arriving until early spring. This year they have the added reason to wait as we are in the middle of Regionals and we will potentially have two very different metas (to the extent there are any) depending upon the tournement a falling in 2016 or 2017. This combined with what is usually a sizable FAQ with each wave release would inspire me to have the boat do donuts around Catalina island until February with the rest of wave 10.

Meh.

Something like 800 million people are starving and homeboy is crying because his plastic toys will be a couple weeks late. Bigger issues dude.

So what are you doing here instead of helping the poor? Smells funny.

Speaking of helping the poor: We cut extreme poverty in half and have actually reasonable expectations to eliminate it completely by 2030. So those 800 million will … be mostly dead by 2030, but the following generations have a good chance to have enough money to at least feed themselves.

There are indeed bigger issues than some starving people. Bigger issues … which do not belong into this forum.

Bigger issues … which do not belong into this forum.

....the spectre of Trump hangs over us all.

Don't speak his name!

I heard that if you look into a mirror and say his name five times, he'll sue.

I mind them breaking promises.

I see no broken promises.

Asmodee and the mouse, put your anger where it belongs. When it was in ffg's court, no one got their things until everyone could.

Nonsense, it quite often took a lot longer for products to reach non-US stores than it does now. And Disney has no input here at all.

Exactly, and since 2012 people have been mad that those at Gencon always got a Wave 2-6 months before everybody else.

Good thing I live in the US. I'll be buying mine at midnight tomorrow.

*Rises and starts singling "God Bless America" as a solitary tear of pride streams down cheek*

But seriously, who really cares if Region A gets stuff a week or two before Region B? It's really not something worth getting mad about.

Something like 800 million people are starving and homeboy is crying because his plastic toys will be a couple weeks late. Bigger issues dude.

Then they should turn to cannibalism until they reach sustainable numbers.

Not totally relevant, but I have a sneaking suspicion that no one is getting the rest of Wave 10 before Christmas.

The rule is, unless the release is DIRECTLY tied to a movie release (unless you are outside the US apparently), add a quarter on to what the original announcement indicates the release date is.

This is why I don't consider movie tie in ships are part of the wave they are announced with. They are spoiled at a different time and of course released earlier. I call them Movie Wave 1 and Movie Wave 2.

This will happen again next year.

Especially since you're not going to be playing against anyone who isn't in the same boat as you. It's not like those of us in the US are going to fly over to another region just to play you at a casual game with the new stuff.

Yeah, I don't live in the US either.

Fortunately, my Wave 10 purchases are shipping now:

dang it... now my #nevergunboat and #neveravenger must change to #nevergunboatoravengerunlessyouorderfromshapeways...

that just doesn't roll off the tongue as well.

I have previously ordered a Kwing, Eta-2, and fanblade fighter... one of those came to the game...I hope for 1/3 of your order to come to the game too. Any guesses which of the three I'd prefer?

This will happen again next year.

All of this has happened before, and will happen again.

Any guesses which of the three I'd prefer?

But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of man who would hope another poster would finally get their beloved ship, or a board troll?

I disagree, that would increase X-Wing prices. I rather have a hungry workforce at my bidding than a fed and angry one. Guess that is why everyone is moving jobs out of the US; There are just too many well fed people.

Give me such men about as are fat. Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look, such men are dangerous.

While I disagree with 2/3rds of the ships on that list (and couldn't care less about the 3rd), that lineup's solider then the official one we're getting.

Trump is a rejection of pc culture and the progressive left, I'm a liberal and I'm sick to my back teeth of the ultra lefts antics.

I want my Quadjumpa now too...

but I'm happy I'll be getting my U-wing an hour before I see Rogue One on Thursday. I can go home and pew pew!!

Wait, when did any of us ever have an actually faith in FFG release dates? They can barely get the year of the release date correct. Bald tires on a rainy day are more reliable.

Welcome to the fun-filled world of corporate product approvals, international product manufacturing, trans-oceanic distribution, multiple levels of governmental border inspection red tape, cross-continent shipping, weather delays, trains, highways, trucks, insufficient warehouse space, late distributor orders, miscounted pallets, more trucks, more paperwork, add in a good dose of human error at every level... and then the product gets to your store. And I don't believe they ever said "HEY, WE ENTIRELY PROMISE THIS TIME!" at all. Ever.

Simple, right?

This is all BS!

It is just a scientific hypotheses and has NEVER BEEN PROVEN that there are real people outside the United States. Our friends from the great state of Minnesota have kept their promise. We are getting our toys a few hours before our movie so we can play with them in the theater. All this other stuff is complete nonsense that has never been proven.
