That's not an okay post Gabe.

You're clearly dead inside.

The percentage of naysayers seems, from my impressions, to be much smaller this time.

I'm reading some people say this is the best Star Wars movie of them all.

George Lucas enjoyed himself, and a real Star Wars fan would be strongly reassured by that.

Despite it lacking Jedi, the Force is strong with this movie.

I'm reading many of us are hopeful for expansions from this movie.

A real Star Wars and X-wing miniatures fan would be thankful.

That thing, as far as I care, can go crawl back under it's rock.

Well I'm of the opinion that we need less Star Wars content with Jedi in them.

They did okay with the CGI... but yeah it took me out too in a few moments.

  :P

... but not as much as gaddam ewoks!!!

Tarkin looks like a dam-vampire... and Leia has Han's chin.

"WHY IS MY CHIN SO BIG IN ROGUE ONE?"

Well I'm of the opinion that we need less Star Wars content with Jedi in them.

100% agreed. I dont mind a bit of force sensitivity as we clearly had in Rogue One but less Sabres is a good thing. Keep proper force users and ligbtsabres special unless doing something in the Old Republic or similar.

I saw it again last night - and it was much better second pass. (Not that I disliked it on the first pass). I really want my U-Wing now.

I fell asleep when they were extracting the plans and woke up right before Vaders Rebel massacre.

You're clearly dead inside.

No, it just takes more than a series of uninspired throwbacks chained together with shallow characters, hollow plots points, and Scorpion King era CGI to entertain me. Even the cool bits were thoroughly undermined by the film's propensity to deprive me of any semblance of immersion.

Scorpion King CGI?? Really?!?

One thinks one is exaggerating, for the most part Tarkin looks brilliant as does Leia. I'm not gonna sit here and say they look perfect because they don't, but they're pretty close!

Trolls be trolling. To even jokingly compare anything in R1 to The Scorpion King makes a mockery of his opinion.

Whichever forum necromancer resurrected WonderWAAAGH, can you please resurrect Vorpal Sword? Thanks.

I like how a contrary opinion is automatically rejected out of hand as trolling around here. I didn't enjoy the movie, and that's my burden to bear. The rest of you apologists can sit here in your echo chamber and continue to celebrate mediocrity. Have a nice day.

You didn't offer an opinion. You offered a series of cliches. You've not actually provided us with any decent explanation as to why you disliked the movie.

Pretty much this. Also, I can verify that this forum is definitely not an echo chamber.

To be fair, no one offered a valid answer to his post.

Nor should they. Just pop the fellow on Ignore and move on with your life.

But surely that kills any valid discussion? I mean, yeah, don't feed the trolls, but putting someone on ignore because they dislike Rogue One is a bit harsh.

My wife decided to try and spoil my fanboy love with plot holes. She wanted to know how the 2 guys with death sentences on 12 systems ended up in Mos Eisley after bumping into Jyn 10 mins before the city was obliterated. Clearly they had their own U-wing and skipped town!

Someone said they were actually being led by troopers (only seen the film once so can't remember), so maybe they were taken off-planet as prisoners, then escaped between this film and ANH.

Nah they were just already on their way off planet. It takes seconds from boarding so not even a plot wrinkle let alone hole IMO.

They did okay with the CGI... but yeah it took me out too in a few moments.

I've narrowed it down to the cheeks that bug me. Leia's are too fuzzy, Tarkins are too sharply defined at all times. His hairline is also too perfect like he shaves his head up to that hairline or something.

Just put your fingers in your ears and go "LALALALALALALALA!" or as I like to call it, "the ignore list."

If you hit your head hard enough on your desk (several times), you can almost see that the Scorpion King's CGI is nearly as good:

It is getting to be an annoying habit. As annoying as analyzing [book/movie/comic/game] to death and calling a new expansion garbage two minutes after the first preview article gets posted.

I do not agree with your opinion, and there is room for discussion there, but why would it be trolling for you to say so?
