Dash AA

By Moon1n1te, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi new to the forum, working on a list for reigonals without buying too much (I have TFA core set and the YT-2400 atm),

The list I have atm is:

Dash Rendar
Stay on Target
Mangler Cannon
Outrider
47

Tycho Celchu
Rage
C-Refit
Test Pilot
Wired
26

Jake Farrell
PTL
C-Refit
Test Pilot
Cool Hand
26 pts.

Any thoughts on this list?

Cheers

Dash needs action economy to stay alive, either using Engine Upgrade and PTL to stay at Range 3, where he will get the extra evade die, and get a focus every turn.

I'm concerned about the A-Wing's place in the meta right now, as 2 attack dice are rather poor vs. tokened-up Defenders and the like.

EDIT: That being said, I really like what you've done with the A-Wings.

If it's feasible, I would suggest buying the Ghost expansion; you can build something like:

-Dash: PTL, HLC, Outrider, Kanan (maybe buy an EU off eBay?)

-Lothal Rebel: Hera, Gunner

99 points, and two beefy ships with 4-dice attacks.

Ghost would be feasible and sounds a lot of fun originally I was thinking of running Dashbacca but I'd rather try something a bit different.

Either way I'm gonna have to try the list cos it looks a lot of fun to fly.

Thanks for feedback :)

I have played Lothal-Dash and it works very well.

58 Dash Rendar (36), Outrider (5), HLC (7), Kanan (3), PTL (3), EU (4)
42 Lothal Rebel (35), FCS (2), ABT (2), Han Solo (2), Hera (1)

This is a really solid build and fits perfectly with a 58-point Super Dash. It is a brutal brick of a ship that you throw at your opponent to do as much damage as possible while Dash skirts the engagement and snipes away with his HLC. By the time the Ghost goes down (and it usually does), the remnants of the enemy should be sufficiently mauled that Dash can mop up the leftovers.

If ordnance is big in your area you could always drop Han and the FCS for Reinforced Deflectors and Nien Nunb to give you a bit more durability against high damage attacks.

I haven't really played against high PS Aces who might be able to give this list problems. But Imps seem to like their /x7 Defenders at the moment and this list can handle them pretty well. 2 4-Dice attacks will burn through their defences pretty well and Dash can Arc-dodge Vessery and Ryad who seem to be the most popular pilots at the moment.

That does sound like a very fun double large ship list to run, might see if i can test fly it at some point.

Thanks again :).

He'll save everyone of us! He's for everyone of us!

On the Jake build i'd much rather have Veteran Instincts than cool hand. Being PS9 make a big difference in avoiding arcs and not getting shot at

I can't get this list to work for me. The Ghost will die too fast before it can do all that much. I usually have Dash against too many targets and I can't kill them quick enough. I find that Dash actually has a hard time with Defenders by himself. Even with 4 attack dice, you end up just plinking 1 hit here or there. I've tried it in two tournaments. Ended up a measly 1 and 4 with it.

From my limited experience Dash with Boost / Barrel Roll can Arc-Dodge lower pilot skill ships easily, and the Defenders are quite predictable ships...
