So a buddy and I were playing yesterday and had a question come up. He was playing Oicunn, so he was trying to ram my ships. So he bumped one of my ships, then on the next phase when he revealed his dial, couldn't complete his maneuver so he remained exactly where he was, touching my ship. Oicunn's ability says "after executing a maneuver, each ship youre touching suffers one damage". Did he actually execute a maneuver, and thus, should I have taken another damage?

What is funny, is that Oicunn damage does not remove Stealth Device, so you can kill a ship without actually "hitting" it.

You still count as executing a manoeuvre, even if you're only able to move a bit, or even not at all.
- Execute A Manoeuvre - reveal a dial, try to move the ship as far as you can (which can include 'not moving at all')
- Complete A Manoeuvre - actualy get to the end of the maneuver template (such that you actually reverse direction on a koiogan turn, for example).
does doing a table flip count as a manoeuvre

Only if they have initiative, though, since Ion Projector and ion token removal both work on "after you (refering to the ship that crashes into Oicunn) execute a manouver". If you have initiative, the projector is resolved first, they get an ion token, then they remove all ion tokens after crashing with their 1 forward.

Only if you have that on your dial, or are instructed to do so by an upgrade card. Otherwise, it counts as being a [insert swearword of choice here]

That interpretation would prevent the Lambda Shuttle to become stressed from performing its red stop manouver.

Irrelevant the move is red on the dial it causes stress unless you have a pilot ability or pilot talent that cancels out the stress.

Of the two, Ion Projector would be the better option as it will keep the opponent performing the same maneuver.
But both only work if the opponent overlaps you.

You will never understand this game if you assume how the rules work, instead of *reading* how the rules work.

Whether you move or not doesn't affect anything. It's whether you executed a maneuver or not that is important. Executing a stop maneuver doesn't move you, and executing a maneuver that bumps you in a way that makes it impossible to move doesn't move you either. Either way, a maneuver was executed. And executing a red maneuver nets you stress, and executing a green maneuver lets you lose stress (even if you bumped).

You have to be able to complete a move to move
Now the shuttle and other ships with 0 moves dont move at all they sit that dont count as movement as ship didn't move
Theres a lot less runig in to each other in my games think its called bumping I see a lot of that on YouTube why would u be doing it that way
