My Sato Take

By Parkdaddy, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I was considering using STM (shields to max), but all of the ships in this fleet are rather fragile. They rely more on speed and maneuverability, and 2 of the objectives let me capitalize on that. With Hyperspace, I can bring in Salvation at speed 2, spam only CF, and not worry about speed. Navigational hazards grants me tremendous flexibility, and these are all small base ships, so I have that going for me as well. Am still considering putting a chart Officer on QS for a little more synergy with that objective and general utility. And then Targeting beacons just really helps a lot with damage output and black crit effects.

Phoenix home gets mad token generation with Ray/Ahsoka combination and black crits at range. Functions as a jousting partner with Salvation. Salvation is the choice for Hyperspace, hence the vet captain, which will allow me to take Tycho with him to initiate Sato's ability. DTTs to make up for any blanks. Torp Frigate with EA for black at long range, blue and 2 black at medium, and blue and 5 black at close. Slicer tooled combat transports. Increased damage, increased shenanigans. Bright hope life boat flagship.

Thoughts? Perhaps trade Han for 2 As and no vet captain on Salvation? He'd be a good Hyperspace buddy

Drop Phoenix Home title. Drop Raymus. Drop comms net.

Why do you need anything other than nav token on pelta?

If you need Ahsoka, you could put her on gr75 anyway.

The only appropriate use of Ahsoka in any list is; crap I need one more dmg. Turn nav token to cf token. Reroll a dice. Annihilate enemy.

Drop skilled first officer. You paid for entrapment.

Agree with all of this except SFO. One point to guarantee you get the navs and CFs right every time is golden. It lets you play the CF way more aggressively and you'll never screw up your placement.

The MC30 costs 64 points naked unless you have reason to run a different officer, because it ALWAYS comes with SFO.

Entrapment

What navs?

The ones that let you jump from speed 2 to speed 4 to engage, then slam on the brakes with a token to speed 1 if it didn't get shot coming in.

The ones that reposition you all the way across the board on turn 1 because you took an extra tick at the first notch and jumped up from 3 -> 4 right off the bat.

The one you plotted so that you had the ticks to keep your shielded hull zone toward the ISD's rear arc so you don't get popped on the way out.

Entrapment enhances navs and makes you less reliant on them, but it doesn't replace them. And in the absence of the opportunity cost of another officer, 1 point is always worth it to make sure your MC30 is positioned right.

I could see dropping Phoenix home and moving ahsoka, but I want the Phoenix to be able to reroll those blacks at long range. CF token with Raymus for that.

I have Comms net to pass the squadron tokens. Why wouldn't I just use the squadron command and move 2? Because I want the ship I'm shooting with to be the one to send the squadron in. This way I know I'll get Satos ability. Additionally, that Flotilla is my flagship, so I don't want it trying to activate squadrons. I get more utility from being able to pass tokens.

Could I store up a squadron token on the first round with all squad commands? Sure. Ahsoka would also help with that. But I like to have other tokens on the MC30 and Neb on the first round. Probably the Pelta too, once I start flying it.
