Minister Tua & Gozanti

With Minister Tua as officer at your Gozanti, you can equip ECM. So no more chance to one-shot an imperial transport. :o

Expensive. And ECM is only once per turn, and does nothing against INTEL OFFICER. So it's interesting, but there are some drawbacks.

With Reinforced doors, 6 hull, 7 with Motti and cheaper at least you can survive a little more. Tagge and ECM to "counter" Intel Officer can be another option maybe.

at this point, I think people are going a bit too hard on the "lifeboat" strategy

Are they? I disagree. A 54 (motti-goz-tua-ecm) point ship that is a complete pain in the rear to kill, and yet completely worth killing due to the utility it provides the fleet is a winner in my book. That said, I think I'd rather have Demolisher or an interdictor able to equip a defensive retrofit, but I'm also not willing to discount an escape pod that not only can survive the first volley, it can play completely differently, acting as bait, drawing fire from the rest of the fleet. And your opponent wouldn't be wrong doing it. I think it might have merit.

Ohhh I don't know Rick, with 54 points you could have a Arquittens instead

best

Also, while I don't like RBD for MC30s (as some people in other threads have suggested), I definitely don't like it on a Gozanti, simply because there is too big of a risk of being one-shot.

It would actually only be, at best 5 hull without Motti, since the ship still has to be actually alive to use RBD.

I don't like RBD on small ships.

You receive 2 damage cards. Okay, well, do you risk getting another one to get the max effect from RBD at the risk of your ship being blown up instead, or do you use it now at not its maximum potential?

RBD fits more on a big ship IMO

Is it? Several YT2400's sent after her will chew her as effectively as before. ET Gladialor will ram her to death. Demolisher will Intel and finish her with the next shot. So the only extra protection is vs Liberty/ISD2 front arc and H9 mc30 boats.

Tagge on an ECM Gozanti with first activation is going to be the most annoying thing to kill. Still susceptible to ramming bubbles, but highly slippery.

Also, was just curious, but do repair crews work on the flotilla using them? It only says "from 1 friendly ship." I just had never considered it a possibility, and haven't seen a FAQ for it.

So don't make it a lifeboat. Make it a slicer tooled suppressor. It's a slippery death for those big ships.

Yes, the flotilla can repair crews itself.

A ship is friendly to itself, so yes.

The other thing to consider about Tua is the opportunity cost - there is only one of her. So if you put her on the Gozanti, your ISD-1/VSD/Demo continue to go without ECM or RBD.
