I would love to see any of the following;
-Dark Forces
-Shadows of the Empire
-Rouge One
I don't see why we can't mix the new stuff with the old EU and create our own wibbly-wobbly cannony-wannony version.

With the continuations of expansions, w hen will there be enough? Will FFG continue to release expansions for years to come?
At what point will we start having redundancy and power creep?
I would be satisfied with the full original trilogy + Rogue One. From there on, I want more campaign books with a few new tiles and perhaps some new interesting skirmish maps. There will be enough figures to play with but we need more scenarios. I am just worried about older releases being obsolete or unplayable due to ttoo many new figures.
- Want to see Rogue One
- The Force Awakens may be OK.
- Don't care about Rebels
- Absolutely don't ever want to see Episodes 1-3 prequels.
P.S. A Big Box Endor would be welcomed
I know that based on how the previous releases have tied in to the movies that an Endor set seems like it might be next, but I'm actually not sure that we're going to get one. Especially now that we've got the alliance rangers, what can come in an Endor set that we don't already have? Ewoks? I mean, I guess Ewoks could be cool and all, but it doesn't seem like something to build an entire boxed expansion around.
After Ewoks and speeder bikes, we need more campaign adventures and stories.

I don't know if we've necessarily seen power creep yet. We've certainly seen Wave 1's horribly overpriced ally/villains been adjusted, as they seemed to not at all take action economy into account, but since then it's been pretty consistent. I think that redundancy is more of an issue, but as long as people are buying, there's no reason to stop. I, for one, wouldn't mind having stuff like Deathtroopers, even if they are basically just reskinned Rstormtroopers with maybe a new ability or two.

That's kind of where I'm at. Endor would be fine for some campaign, but I don't know if I like the idea of a campaign of it. Is it the Rebels infiltrating Endor before the battle? Returning to Endor afterward, for some reason? Doesn't seem like a whole lot of reason to go there, outside of the fact that it's in the movies. The Shield Bunker is pretty much the only important thing on the planet as far as we know, and Han's team takes care of that in the movie. Plus, while it's be cool to have Ewoks, that wouldn't really gel with how the ewoks seemed pretty hostile to the Rebels when first meeting them in ROTJ. Just doesn't seem to work.
Instead, I think an Imperial Fleet campaign might work better. Maybe have a mission or two on Endor, with one or two new forest tiles, but put the rest on Imperial Star Destroyers, the Executioner, and have a finale in the Death Star fire control room, preventing the laser from firing and taking out a planet!
I would love to see a Tantive IV deck plan map and a mission surrounding the boarding and capture of it ether by the imperials or scum villains. MAN THAT WOULD ROCK!!
I have a feeling that any Prequel and/or Sequel trilogy content will be saved for a new standalone core set (like a second edition...not that IA needs a second edition). Seems to me that the current IA will focus mostly on the OT related timeline with Rebels and Rogue One also included. So I would expect to see a Rogue One boxed expansion...maybe even a big box expansion. As for Rebels stuff, I have a feeling they will just be added as blister only additions.
I too would love it if they released expansions that added content from Star Wars outside of the movies and shows. But there are two reasons I don't see this happening anytime soon:
1. There is the obvious need to attract the casual Star Wars fan who wants to play a game that incorporates familiar territory from the movies.
2. All content has to be approved by Disney and the LFL story group. If they want to start incorporating more original content they will need to seek the blessing of Disney and LFL first.
I think that after maybe 2 more boxed expansions we will see perhaps a new core set based on the sequel trilogy. Even though I actually like the prequels (i laugh at your un-bridled hatred of them), FFG has gone on record as saying that they don't plan on making them the focus of any products any time in the foreseeable future. So episodes 7-9 (and eventually eps 10-12) is where I see the true future of IA and the rest of FFG's Star Wars products heading over the next 5 years.
Personally, I would be ok if they just released stand alone campaign books (and skirmish books for you skirmish players) after the next expansion cycle. By then, we will have more than enough tiles and figures to keep things going for a long while. If FFG really is making an app for IA, either they intend it to keep the current content going for longer like they did with Descent 2E or they will release it in conjunction with a whole new edition like they did with Mansion of Madness. Only time will tell...
Edited by OtakuonFor the Rebellion timeline I'd like to see more Rebels stuff (Zeb, Thrawn, Ahsoka, Rex, Maul), more stuff from the comics (Dr. Aphra, please), some Rogue One stuff would be great as well. If they want to go post-RotJ, I'd love to see some Aftermath characters (Norra Wexley, Admiral Sloane, Mr. Bones all spring to mind.) As for, TFA, if they want to go there, go for it, but I think there's enough Rebellion era stuff to work with for now.
Not sure how you could look forward to an expansion based on 7 but not 1-3. 1-3 lacks decent characters and aren't set up like a western, but neither is 7. 1-3 at least has fantastic locations and memorable moments. 7 is just a forgettable mish mash of a mary sue stomping on a daddy issue douchebag while a traitor betrays an entire planet to death just to get a ride to tap dat. It has no interesting locations which IA has been using from 4-6, no interesting creatures or droids. No bounty hunters, no new races. NOTHING. Even Phasma was largely squandered. It's one contribution has been a lightsaber shaped like a KKK's burning cross and a soccer ball. There is nothing to make an expansion out of. Maybe 8-9, when taken from J.J.'s ruinous hands will give us something that isn't a pile of garbage that could be worked with, but for right now 1-3 is the best option.
You seem angry.
Back on topic, I really have no idea where the game should go beyond Episode 6. I feel like the timegap between 6 and 7 has too much unexplained stuff to set a game in there, or even in episode 7 territory. Maybe 8 will explain some stuff that makes this guy a little less bitter.
I enjoyed 7 but some Rogue One era stuff would definitely be welcome.
