Gotta be careful with this thing. It's awesome but you have to be careful about spending points on it. It's really tempting to stick an ECM on it, but w/o the brace it might not be worth it. Never really saw any defensive retrofits on CR90s and I think the same school of thought applies. Keep the points light and get the light cruiser to punch above it's weight class with TRCs and Dual Turbos. And profit from using those upgrade cards on the ships that really need them...

Very strong impetus to take it in one round, or not at all... :/ That is vicious. This could bring back the triple ISD madness lists...
Are Dual Turbos really that good for Imps?
The Empire already has ways to get re-rolls if it needs them.

The Arq-ticle was originally titled "SUCK IT REBELS!" They toned it down a little.
Reinforced Blast Doors are going to be veeeeery tempting as insurance on MC30s, especially with increasing ability to move obstacles around the battlefield and control speeds with G8s

Agreed, the main selling point of the ship is its points efficiency. I'm actually kind of fond of the idea of simply using dual turbos and blast doors and calling it a day - 64 points for a fairly tough, long-ranged flanker seems like a good buy, especially in multiples

Really? Seems fair to me. It lacks a brace and really doesn't have enough shields to need 2 redirects. Without a bunch of upgrades these things will die fairly easily.

I tend to agree. It will be useful, no doubt, however most of the time it'll only add 1 or 2 hull points (lets keep in mind that it can't discard face up crits) and once MC30 starts to get that hull damage, it'll die soon even if it's at full health. However this card will weaken Demolisher last-first strike.
They are cheap!

Makes an excellent candidate for Turbolaser Re-route circuits and Needa. Double evade to play with. Thrown in Tagge and you're getting those evades back.

True, but you also arent managing your tokens with this card in your back pocket. If you know they arent gonna get another shot or ram in, you may allow damage to get to the hull instead of redirecting to a shielded zone knowing you can negate it.
Tua is awesome, so many imperial ships were begging for that slot. Had a hard time justifying taking an Imperial i class over the Victory i, now seems like a no brainer, almost 40 points more for a few hit points, speed 3 and 2 blue dice. Victories work best in tight formation, Tua will make the lead one an absolute tank. Jacked out Vic i with Tua, electronic countermeasures, spinal, veteran gunners is less than 100 points.

Ok, lets think about Command Cruiser with FCT. What will that do to Rhymerballs (turn 1 attack?) and YV666 with Valen Rudor (good CAP?)

Huh? That's pretty much a perfect price point. They have a minor upgrade in firepower over the CR90A. My experiments with it to this point have also found it to be less durable in longer fights because the evade gets locked down easily. The CR90 is at a higher risk of getting one shot by a large battery with an accuracy, but the double evades are going to mitigate a lot of damage over the long term otherwise. 54 points is perfect.
So does my ISD 1 Relentless beat stick drops skilled first officer for a 9 point ECM. That will sure help flying it where it needs to go with some confidence.
Edited by MattoriumI really like this expansion. Everyone has mentioned how it helps the VSD and ISD's but you can also now get ECM's on an ISD1!
Blast doors definitely helps against Demo making an ISD, MC80, and even AFmk2's a lot harder to triple tap. I think and MC80 assault with ECM and Blast doors will be a brute to bring down.
I don't know how a swarm of The new Arquitens will do but 1 flanker with TRC's can give you a lot of flexibility like the Rebs have always had in the TRC90
