Inquisitor List critique

By MrVonDoome, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I will be attending my first regionals soon. Sadly, i just moved so its been about two months since i really played. I am currently falling back on what i know with a slight twist. I am trying to figure out if command card manipulation is worth changing my command cards and adding cross training to do so. Any and all info would be great. Please and thank you in advance.

Cheers!

Personally, I've found that 5 activations is a bit on the low side. I'd suggest dropping both Crosstrainings for another rOfficer. The Inquisitor likes the extra movement (so that you can get him all the way in there at the end of a round for a big nova strike). If you really want Spy fun, then I'd suggest downgrading the Guards to Blaise, and using those last 2 points for Crosstraining x2.

Pummel could be okay, but I think I'd rather have Primary Target (gain a Focus and +1 dmg) because it helps so much on those big nova-strike hits.

And if you're using the Inquisitor then you definitely want Force Rush (Cost 0) and Force Surge (Cost 2) in your command deck! If you drop the Crosstrainings, then you won't be using Comm Disruption, so that makes room for Force Surge. Then you pick your least-favorite 0-Cost card to drop in favor of Force Rush. You really need these cards in your deck if you want to get the most out of the Inquisitor. Several times at GenCon this summer I used him to out-flank my opponent and run into his backfield for a nice big Hit & Cleave on his squishy targets...and these command cards are a big part of that.

For reference (not saying you need to use this!), here is what I ran (in hindsight I would drop the eWingGuards for another set of eStormtroopers):

Inquisition | 40 points
Deployment Cards
▪ The Grand Inquisitor
Elite Stormtrooper
Elite Wing Guard
HK Assasin Droid
▪ Temporary Alliance
Imperial Officer
Imperial Officer
Command Cards
3 Grenadier
2 Reinforcements
2 Reinforcements
2 Force Surge
2 Hunt them Down
1 Negation
1 Hit and Run (useful for HKs, but also for the Inquisitor when you want to LS Throw and stay safe afterward)
1 Tough Luck (fabulous on HKs!)
1 Primary Target (great on HKs and Inquisitor)
0 Take Initiative
0 Urgency
0 Opportunistic (useful for HKs)
0 Wild Attack (useful for either HKs or Inquisitor, since both can make Dodges go away)
0 Force Rush
0 Element of Surprise

Yeah, I'd agree with thereisnotry (of course, he beat me at Gen Con with the above list, so it's easy for me to agree :-) ). If you're going with the spies, consider adding in Blaise and an officer for the Guards. Also, you should add info leak if you keep the spies. Fantastic card, especially with troopers who can take damage and reinforce.

That's my current list, but I'm going to probably shelve it when Jabba hits. This new wave is all about anti trooper spam, so think about that if your regionals is after the release date (whenever that is...)
