Most of my gameing experience rules had to be interpreted as to there meaning and how to play them. Most of my 40k, d and d and pathfinder days full of different rules interpretation. Now is this common in xwing. maybe I bringing wrong mind set and approach to reading the rules. So is there a lot of rules interpretation and different opinions on how rules should work
Rules and how there interpreted
I'm pretty sure this was well covered in the other posts you have made. Actually I know it has. You don't get to interpret rules, period. They are there so that everyone has a level playing field.
There are rare instances of some card interactions that aren't clear. But for the most part it's just a case of reading the rules/cards.
If something is unclear, ask in the rules forum and/or discuss it with your opponent before the start of the gsme. No one likes "gotcha!" moments.
Yup, the rules are pretty clear, follow them as written. Don't try to interpret them based on the models or what you have seen in the films. The game is intended to represent the films but don't confuse the background with the implementation.
If it is not clear how 2 cards interact, check the FAQs. Most genuine discrepancies are covered there.
If you find yourself trying to tempted to interpret the rules, that is probably a sign that you have gone wrong somewhere. Go back and read the rulebook carefully as it is normally clear with no interpretation required.
