Simple Kihraxz Fix?

I've been playing with the titles I posted on the last page, and they've made a huge difference. Genuinely fun to play, makes them viable, but not at all overpowered.

For the Vaksai, how about making it +1 Hull and making the shield regen an action, and lower cost to 3? making it an action is more in line w Gonk that scum already has.

I like Vectored Deflectors, but too me vectored implies movement, so I'd call it Forward Deflectors - ;-)

The cards look nice - what do you use to make them?

Really like the idea of multiple titles for a ship. The defenders got that treatment and 1 seems too op and the other poo. Would be nice if a ship had titles, especially in the scum camp, that let the fighter fundamentally function differently depending on what title it had. Would it really be so bad, or unlikely, that pirates might turn a few of these into arc dodgers or bombers or something? Just seems like common sense to me that a pirate would take any advantage.

I didn't go with the action regen for a few reasons, one of which was precisely because thats already done for Scum in Gonk. As Fighters too, they really need the action for combat, so more expensive and action-free makes them a lot more viable. They also needed the +2 Hull to bring their cost into line with their jousting value.

I will try Scramjets with Autothrusters out, hadn't really considered that. I'm not a huge fan of ATs anyways, so I'm not sure off hand how much that would effect them, but it shouldn't be game breaking.

What about allowing them to take a System or Tech upgrade at the cost of losing their missile slot? Haven't completely thought this through, to be honest but was the first thing that came to mind.

...what about "[evade] or [eye]"... could help to save focus for attacking)

Two new Kihraxz pilots, Black Sun aces killed at Tansarii Point like Talonbane Cobra :

Arlem Demonrunner is specialized in the Kihraxz Light Fighter title, but is good as well with the two others titles.

Ondara is specialized in the Rigged Kihraxz title, a kind of scum Countdown.

The Vaksai title is perfect for Talonbane Cobra.

What if it had a Vaksai title which either added hull, shields or both? It would make sense with the vaksai title which is an improved version of the ship. Then it can still "just be a jouster" but survive longer. If Cobra would be too strong with the upgrade just put a PS limit on it.

I would still wait for Illicits to develope more. We could give them heavy "blasters" 1 additional attack in range 3 and it would come in form of an tittle.. But Scum still lacks a lot of unique pilots that could save ships, not only Kihrax. Their dial is actually pretty good.

I would say that "Vaksai tittle" would open up Sensor slot or Tech slot with -2p.. That would give them some points to add some of the modifications cheaper. Not so into boost because that would allow them to acces Autothrusters. :ph34r:
