That is actually the one I want, with the alderan asteroid field. That would be call if one the backside is actually the planet still in one piece.

AT-ATs could be just recognizable specs, instead of looking like they're the size of the largest mountains.

We already do, it's the only official map for premier events. I mean it's only specs, but it's there.

It is also hard to sell mats the more mats are out there.

Wonder if they'd do a Nar Shadda map? or is that only SWTOR universe?

Why not a map with Hoth in the background and the asteroid field visible?

I own the Bespin map, love it, and never really considered the scale of the cloud city, being as it´s a city.

I wouldn´t get the Hoth one though, as much as I´d love to have the planets. They´ve done a good sales job in marketing with the photo with the ships on it, but from other angles, and especially with asteroids, it´s going to look skewed.

At the rate FFG is putting out mats, if I buy one of each, I am going to have to start hosting tournaments. I already own the first four, so I can host an 8 person tournament. After these two, I will be up to a 12 person.

Ground Game is this????? NOT what I was expecting. I can't even fit those AT-ATs on my Gozanti.

Seeing this mat and realizing that the Destiny Crap thing is the FFG yearly BIG NEW GAME... it just about kills the hope of a LAND WAR Expansion.

I still would be happy to see Partisans. Besides I have already built my own LAND WAR Game.

Actually that would be Imperial Assault. I don't think Destiny would be bigger than X-wing. That has gotten such a huge market it is sticking around. However I am afraid that Destiny with the random pack TCG format might become bigger than any of their LCGs just by relation to Star Wars. I am not picking up any TCGs. So I won't be touching that game but if it replaces LCGs that would be a disappointment.

I bought a Hoth Mat last night and it does not feel as slick as the original Starfield or the Bespin. The ships do not slide as easily on it.

The angle is a little strange but is it a pretty mat, I justified it in my head as the battle dropping down into the atmosphere.

Actually just played on one yesterday. They are definitely more grippy/rough and a bit thinner.

You can suspend your disbelief about the Force and physics but cannot get past some forced perspective on the artwork on a playmat?

Absolutely. The first two are/look radical! The distortion of a planet looks like the visual equivalent of the sound of nails on a chalkboard.

Still no idea unfortunately. Nor the other prizes from the open series. Last time they didn't announce the prizes until the weekish before the first event

I'm not keen on the Hoth one, it's the size of the AT-ATs and shield generator that make it look like a small moon.

I can see why people don't like this stylelization. Personaly I love it, though I won't be buying any playmats since I already have 2, which is enough for anything I'd want to do.

As a caveat, Inked does do sales pretty often from what I heard so you could get it for less than the $60 I paid (I just won my FF league so had some fun money/ problem with self control when it comes to pretty X-wing things). Hopefully I will have some in action shots of the mat soon!
