The scale of the Hoth mat seems stranger than the Bespin one. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I almost think it would have been better to have no space at all and just make it an atmospheric dogfighting mat.

The Hoth one is weird. I prefer Starkiller base. But, I still have to get DSII and Bespin.

Agreed. On first glance it is cool but then when you look at if for awhile you start getting that this-isn't-right vibe from it. Other than Starkiller being dumb it is not bad.

I feel this lends more to the idea that SWX58 is in fact some sort of campaign box. Starkiller seems like a pretty simple inclusion, but Hoth not as much.

Actually, on second thought, they didn't include the Rogue One planet, so perhaps I'm being too hopeful.

I would have expected/hoped the Hoth and the Death Star III base maps to be top down. That way you could of had bombing missions, defensive missions, etc. even without a land game.

Other than Starkiller being dumb it is not bad.

I get the design of it since what mattered most on Hoth was the ground battle, they zoomed in a bit on purpose already knowing the scale would be technically off. Same with idea as Bespin except they had to zoom in a bit more. It's a design choice over a scale choice in this matter and I think it works alright for me.

I waited for a Hoth mat because it was my favorite planet and yet it looks like complete garbage to me. There's no way you should be able to see the ground battle that closely from space. Should have just been the planet from orbit.

If you couldn't see stuff on the ground there would be a whole different type of complaining.

I like the Hoth matt. The scale issues don't bother me if it's not ridiculously wrong. I got into rationalizing the scale issues and start thinking, "maybe the cockpit has some kind of bifocal lens...." and decided. WTH I like the mat and I don't already own one, I'm getting it.

Seeing this mat and realizing that the Destiny Crap thing is the FFG yearly BIG NEW GAME... it just about kills the hope of a LAND WAR Expansion.

I still would be happy to see Partisans. Besides I have already built my own LAND WAR Game.

I've already got the four current mats, I've got the Admiral level System Open ticket that will get me the mat for that and there's no way I'll be able to resist these. That's seven mats I'll have. I don't even have a table at home so when the *** am I ever going to use 7 mats?!
