Hey guys, just thought I'd drop ya'll a note that Flat Land Games is hosting an Epic X Wing Event towards the end of January.

Join us for Michigan's largest Epic X Wing event to date! There will be tons of prize support, but since it's all custom ordered (though I am currently bugging FFG to get offical support), I need to have a fairly accurate head count in advanced to order the right amount. At the moment, I'm looking at top 4 receiving a set of 10 acrylic energy tokens and top 8 receiving a pair of reinforce tokens. Currently I'm investigating support through both Applied Perspective (http://www.appliedperspective.com/acrylic/product/premium-huge-ship-pack/) and CurlyPawCreatives (https://www.etsy.com/listing/386988562/acrylic-epic-play-token-set?ref=shop_home_active_19) Feel free to drop me a line if you have a preference of one or the other. I am also looking into getting alt art participation prize support.

As to the event itself, there will be a $10 entry fee, and we will be running a 3 round, 2hr:30min/round tourament as outlined by FFG organized play guidelines with a few exceptions.


1) The scum faction is able to pirate any Epic Ship (Gozanti, Raider, CR-90, GR-75). However, you cannot equip any unique cards onto these ships. Otherwise all stats remain the same.


2) I want to see epic ships on the table. Between that and limiting the event to 3 rounds, I have modified the scoring to support bringing Epic Ships.

As such, in lieu of rankings being determined by # of Wins and the MoV, there will be an additional tiebreaker, "Net Epic Points Destroyed," which will go before MOV (but after # of wins).

Net Epic Points will be calculated in a similar method to MOV. Each player will add the epic points they destroyed to their epic points still on the table to get their Net Epic Point total. Note that this means that if you do not bring epic points, the highest your Net Epic Point Destroyed score can be each round would be capped at FIVE. If you bring all 5 points, you can cap out at TEN.


3) You are allowed to play as a 2 player team. There are no restrictions as to how the points can be split up, and there is no requirement to have a 2 person team, just an option if you want to capitalize on it.

But where are these places? Listing the LGS is all well and good but if you want greater attendance (which is why, I assume, you are posting here) you should list a town, if not the actual address.

Haha, good point. I copied it from the facebook event, which has a separate slot for location. This is bring hosted at Flat Land Games in Wixom, Mi.

Just a reminder that this is coming up this weekend. I just got all of the prize support in and it looks sweet!
