Very OP PbP

By avalon rises, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I want to play at the "Shake the Pillars of Heaven" level, starting out at 50,000 XP

So inspired by the quote above who wants to be in a one shot 7.5K XP PbP. And just so you know, if you ignored it earleir it will be a single adventure. Bring on the OP combos.

Oh and 500K Credits.

What in gods name are you doing? God-Tier playing? I think I'll sit back and watch....maybe....I'm indecisive

So I just tried to create a character at my previous standards, and have decided to lower them. 1500 XP and 30,000 Cr.

Maybe. I'm bored, and that's never a good thing…

Alright I think I'll join you on this endeavor, no restrictions either?

1500 XP and 30,000 credits? You called both for XP

Yes.

I wouldn't even know where to start.

Scratch that, I know EXACTLY where to start.

Jury rigged autofire blaster rifle in the hands of a heavy with four ranks of true aim...

Precisely the kind of thinking needed for this game.

For the record, I'm already trying to organize such a game, with a twist, though. Each player playing both a high level Mentor character (between 1500 and 2000 XP) as well as a starting character apprenticed to a different player.

In my humble opinion, that seems like quite a bit of extra bookwork and might inatigate fights. But to each, his own. Would you like to join?

I'm trying to workout safeguards to prevent any "fights" or favoritism, but everyone just playing only high level characters and no students kind of plays against one of my character's key motivations (Restoring the Jedi Order), and that means training students to become Jedi. Also, his ship is decked out as a mobile Jedi training facility. He's a character I've played for years in both D6 nd D20. Unless you're running in the TFA time frame (34 ABY), he wouldn't fit. He was only like 7 or so when the Battle of Yavin happened. Check out my Workshop questions thread (it sort of morphed into a discussion about the proposed campaign). The reason why I brought it up is because we both have essentially the same idea for a campaign (though mine includes being Round Robin unless someone specifically wants to GM full time), and I think it could be better if we combined our efforts instead of having two different campaigns with essentially the same premise.

I'll think about it!

I would love to get in on this with a Force user... or are we limited to just EotE books? :)

Faleen, Gambler, Force user with Unmatched Fortune...

Nope. Anything you want.

Stay legal.

Room for me? :D

Room for me? :D

Last slot.

Alright! So... anything I should know about the time period or setup? :)

If nobody has any objections I was going to go with ~34 ABY/TFA Era. As for setup, what do you mean?

Our Starting Lineup:

1. DeffytheOdds

2. TCArknight

3. Braendig

4. The Shy Ion

5. Neo Ra

By "setup," I meant "are there any special details we should know about?" Like if we were supposed to be at some particular Resistance base, though that's just an example.

...I'm working on a face-type character. Togruta Mystic.

She started getting terrifying at around 500 XP. Now she's really terrifying.

She has the Move Control upgrade that lets you throw stuff and 4 green dice for Lightsaber, but I don't plan on having her use the former much (I just wanted the later Control upgrades) and that's the extent of her direct damage capability.

She's not made to hit things. But she has Influence, Misdirect, Battle Meditation, and enough Enhance to hop off to medium range every turn. (She also has the Sense basic power, but that isn't really relevant.)

And her Charm pool is APPPPFFFFFF. :D

I still have 260 XP left and all her credits to spend, which I'll probably do tomorrow morning—or, rather, a today morning that is not 3 am.

Edit: I'm looking at this breakdown and wondering—did I go too far? I was assuming "break the system" as a goal, but maybe my pools don't need to be that horrifying...

Also, no restrictions on gear. You can buy sabercrystals and the whole shebang.

Nope. And yes the goal is break te system. This game is going to have a lot of dice being thrown around...

I was planning on having you guys infiltrate a FO Compound for a high security rescue and to try and take down Snoke. The latter is optinal.

Alright. I think I'll either grab Protect or buy through Nimian a bit, then. But probably Protect first. She's not a direct damage character, and more lightsaber stuff isn't going to help that when she's mostly gonna be using Force powers in combat. :P

Maybe after this we should do the same mision with regular or Knight Level versions of the characters for comparison... I would be willing to allow that to elongate into a compaign.
