Very OP PbP

By avalon rises, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

The best way I feel to Tank all the things is Unmatched Protection with enough soak the first 3 auto fire hits will be nothing you'll have a few points of enduring Custom made cotorsis Armor that has a soak of five with armor master and 6 Brawn Heroic resilience will go a long way so in total I think it's 6+2+5+5+1 for 19 there maybe more in there but that's just a cursory glance.

That tends to happen when you try to absorb blaster fire with your face you get really really beeft! Hey is there room for me Avalon since Odds did abdicate his spot!

Yep.

In that case I belive our line up is:

1. Sonovabith(?)

2. The Shy Ion

3. Neo Ra

4. Shamblate

Give me a few days to see if I can truly piece together this walking disaster area.

Cool.

Also came up with a name for the game "FFG's Star Wars RPG System: Unhinged"

Well I'm gonna need some time to make this human sized Vehicle. I'll post it when I have it done.

We'll try and start by next Friday at the latest.

So, out of Curiosity — is anyone going to do Starkiller?

I’d be curious to see what that looks like.

Starkiller base, or Starkiller/Galen Marek.

Yes. ;)

Just have to say an Ataru/Hermit/Navigator/Hunter/Pathfinder/Sharp Shooter would be an interesting game breaker: Saber Swarm, True Aim, Hawk Bat Swoop, With FR 6... off the back of your Bonded Silhouette 3 beast! Along with an insane array of wilderness related talents

Anyway interesting campaign, have fun

Edit: of course there are (as far as I can tell) 12 ranks of Lethal Blows in the game so far. With a decent dice pool you could add 150 to Crit rolls very regularly.

It's a start. Still debating between HBR or Sidewinder repeater. If I go HBR I'll keep everything as is. If I switch to the sidewinder, I'll move all of my ranged (heavy) stuff over to gunnery.

And I still have XP to spend. :o

EDIT: All of those attacks are upgraded 6 times with one simple aim maneuver. So the main autofire attack will be PPPPPPPPPBDDD at Medium range using double or nothing. Hahaha

So, what do all you combat monsters think of Caasa Ryl's preliminary stats?

I figure y'all have 'smash everything' pretty well handled, but if you don't want a designated buffer (and confuser, and Force Persuader) I can pull out the one-trick-pony Wookiee tank I'm building as a thought experiment.

I think I may have the one-trick pony Wookiee covered. haha

...honestly, I should know better by now than to make characters "just for a thought experiment." She's starting to develop a backstory and personality. *headdesk*

Not Rambowkkha. He's a complete toon.

So, this is going to be a party of nothing but one-trick Wookiees? ;)

Argh. Argh. Probably.

Maybe I can use Caasa when Tramp Graphics gets his game started.

Now excuse me while I write the backstory for this 43-wound-threshold one-Wookiee-wall.

OK, so Rambowkkha is done.

Things got a little, uh, weird.
Here's his backstory in its entirety:
Rambowkkha likes long walks on the beach. Unfortunately, that usually means the beach ends up littered with the bodies of his enemies.
To unwind after battle, he enjoys playing sea shanties on his concertina.

This is Gralrrua the Unyielding, retired mercenary back for one last job.

She has seven specialization trees. Thank goodness for copy-paste, but I still had to input the first talent of each type by hand... *headdesk*

...I think that with a WT of 43 and Soak of 13, as well as Against All Odds, Unstoppable, and three or four ranks of Durable, that title is justified, okay? :P

Well then, I'll just send a hundread stormtroopers at you and you guys can end them in a few rounds.

I'm getting the impression that with 1500xp you can break one Characteristic, and one core focus, but its not breaking everything. There are no AutoFire equiped Politicos, or incredible Pilots with all the knowledge skills.

Yeah—Caasa was a bit better rounded, with social skills, battlefield control, buffing/debuffing, and fairly decent lightsaber skills... but she wasn't nearly so outrageous as a 43-WT Wookiee. Which is why I'm actually saving her for maybe going in Tramp Graphics' game instead of getting rid of her.

So I'm making a droid right and well he's basically T-800. Has 14 soak with 4 spec Trees and can use Heroic Resilliance to make that 19. Plus he has the Mini-Gun too and a Vibro-Axe for good measure. Now to transfer it from paper to SWsheets.

For ***** and giggles I may be making a Duros Entrepreneur, Racer, Performer, Driver, Navigator called Tra'Vys Pastrami...

Well, the only things holding that up is finding players/GMs, and figuring out the best way to handle Mentor/student dynamics without potentially causing problems between players. That and getting the rules for Mandalorian PCs.

I'll just throw out my two bits, noting that they're probably out of place in a deliberately overpowered game. Specifically ss GM I don't allow autofire to be combined with any kind of "aiming" (no aiming, no precise aim, no true aim) because it's narratively nonsensical.

Hu, that never crossed my mind Elias. For me Aiming isn't always looking down a scope, it's just a way of describing the character dedicating more of their time to pointing the weapon at the enemy. It's the bonus of focusing on a task rather than letting other things, like moving or opening a door, distract you.

I guess it depends on the spirit of "aiming." I allow aiming on all attacks, much for the reason Richard mentions above. You wouldn't technically "aim" when you throw a punch, but there is a difference between being deliberate and swinging wildly. Same would apply for autofire anything. My gut is you are more against autofire because of its inherently game breaking potential and are looking for ways to nerf it, regardless of RAW.
