Very OP PbP

By avalon rises, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I wouldn't even know where to start.

Scratch that, I know EXACTLY where to start.

Jury rigged autofire blaster rifle in the hands of a heavy with four ranks of true aim...

Don't forget to run down that Gambler tree so you can get Double or Nothing.

I wouldn't even know where to start.

Scratch that, I know EXACTLY where to start.

Jury rigged autofire blaster rifle in the hands of a heavy with four ranks of true aim...

Don't forget to run down that Gambler tree so you can get Double or Nothing.

To be truly game-breaking, you’ve got to have those two other ranks of True Aim, too.

And don’t forget to pick up all the ranks of Precise Aim. And Sniper Shot, too.

I wouldn't even know where to start.

Brad gets it.

I want to play at the "Shake the Pillars of Heaven" level, starting out at 50,000 XP

So inspired by the quote above who wants to be in a one shot 7.5K XP PbP. And just so you know, if you ignored it earleir it will be a single adventure. Bring on the OP combos.

Oh and 500K Credits.

Sounds awesome. The world needs more GMs like you.

So I just tried to create a character at my previous standards, and have decided to lower them. 1500 XP and 30,000 Cr.

Okay, maybe. But I would like more creds if I make a character along these lines.

Also, no restrictions on gear. You can buy sabercrystals and the whole shebang.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You still have a ton of credits. You can have my spot, I was going to play and GM. But I'm more than happy to let you take it.

Edit: Huh, I missed a zero. Bt I think that's too many still. New Credit level: 150K

If nobody has any objections I was going to go with ~34 ABY/TFA Era. As for setup, what do you mean?

Our Starting Lineup:

1. DeffytheOdds

4. The Shy Ion

Hello, never played with you guys before. Not.

Also, the rest of your credits will be used to make your ship a slightly modified ADZ-Class destroyer.

Well on my first test roll, I got auto-fire to activate 18 times (using double or nothing), damage total 324 assuming a modified HBR with augmented spin barrel. O. M. G.

...well. You break the combat system, I'll break the social half. And if this doesn't look like a situation for social skills, you're not looking creatively enough. ;)

Plus I think I'm halfway survivable, since I bought the entire Protect tree. Also, FR 6 is useful.

So that's every vehicle up to a capital ship, I reckon.

Pretty much. Excellnt.

...I didn't buy Suppress! That's what I forgot about!

Alright. If I shave off 100 XP, I can buy the whole tree. Maybe I don't actually need 5 ranks in Lore. That's 70, since the first was free... *metaphorical scribbling*

:(

Ya know what, I'd love to do this, but I don't actually know the game well enough to make full use of everything. I will offer my spot up to someone with more experience and would be able to have some more fun with things. I will however be following this, but it sounds hilarious.

I'm sorry it would just be too much power in the hands of someone too inexperienced so I think spectating will be best

Hmm... is there anyway to tank 324 damage and not explode? Probably Hired Gun, yeah definitely Hired Gun. Too bad I got here late. :(
away

...do us all a favor, Bith, and don't shoot the enemy we're engaging. That Despair would be a disaster. ;)

...now I want to try and build something that can tank outrageous amounts of damage. Just as a thought experiment. Though I suspect the answer is 'be unhittable enough that they never get the chance to do outrageous amounts of damage.'

Edit: I think the answer might be along the lines of 'Supreme Armor Master, lots of Durable, Unstoppable, Against All Odds.' The damage might hit, but you just get back up again. I gotta test this...

The best way I feel to Tank all the things is Unmatched Protection with enough soak the first 3 auto fire hits will be nothing you'll have a few points of enduring Custom made cotorsis Armor that has a soak of five with armor master and 6 Brawn Heroic resilience will go a long way so in total I think it's 6+2+5+5+1 for 19 there maybe more in there but that's just a cursory glance.

You don't even need Unmatched Protection or any specs outside of Hired Gun to tank that.

Hired Gun with 5 Brawn, 5 Resilience, and all five ranks of Enduring that they get (dipping Recruit for the fifth) can spend a Destiny Point for Heroic Resilience and have a Soak of 15. Throw on a Soak 2 armor with Armor Master, and you have Soak 18, which makes that attack do nothing whatsoever (324 damage over 18 hits is 18 damage per hit).

Oh I was doing the math quickly and in my head without the books, I just finished a Calc 2 final exam this morning so I'm a bit out my wack math wise! :)

I didn't mention with a modified augmented spin barrel it's Pierce 2. I felt it was overkill, but apparently not.

When I have access to effectively-infinite xp, NOTHING is overkill :P !

I'm working on a tank I'm never going to use for this. I hope y'all are happy. :P

So far, I haven't grabbed the Endurings, but her XP is only a little under half-spent—I'm building her as if for this game. Her wound threshold is up to... 37, though. I seem to have picked up a lot of Tougheneds.

That tends to happen when you try to absorb blaster fire with your face you get really really beeft! Hey is there room for me Avalon since Odds did abdicate his spot!

Oh. I wasn't actually claiming a spot. I was just mentioning an insanely OP build...

Yep.

In that case I belive our line up is:

1. Sonovabith(?)

2. The Shy Ion

3. Neo Ra

4. Shamblate

Give me a few days to see if I can truly piece together this walking disaster area.
