Rogue One Trailer - Chinese Version

By GiledPallaeon, in Star Wars: Armada

I'm going to drop this off here, as it is quite different in almost every way from the trailers released in Europe and America everywhere else. Music changes, the way the plot is structured, portrayal of Jyn and the battle scenes, new footage, it's all fascinating to me.

Wow that was vastly different from the American version. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't this International Trailer 4 or something?

So maybe I missed it before... Did they say Jyn's father designed the Death Star, presumably against his will?

Will this be the 40-year-later retcon of why that **** exhaust port wasn't shielded?

Apparently, just the Death-Gun-Bit. Not the Star-Workings-Bit. Just the Death-Gun-Bit.

I can confirm that. I'm making my way through Catalyst. Galen Erso was under the impression he was working on a source of clean renewable energy, at least initially. Krennic, meanwhile, is the Death Star's overall architect. Krennic, knowing Erso would have nothing to do with making a weapon, is the puppetmaster, using Erso's research to weaponize kyber crystals for the battle station. I imagine as I get further into the book the situation changes from ignorance to forced labor.

Yep Catalyst explains it all. Not to spoil it too much but it does make a lot more sense that there could be such a huge design flaw in the station because someone who worked on the Super Laser dilibretely designed it that way and later tells the Rebellion.
