I have posted about this in other threads but have (semi) recently found an FLGS to play in and am loving the "Casual Wednesdays" that have become a regular highlight of my week - now, whilst I'm delighted to be getting more practice in, it's rare for me to get more than 2 games in during the 3 hour period (what with setup and chatting) and I was curious:

• how many games you guys actually play per week?
• how many times per week do you get together to play?
• do you play varied lists in the same session, or stick with the same list?

and look at that. it's Wednesday. I need to get my fleet packed up...

Not enough!

I get in anywhere between 2 to 6 games a week dependent on the week. There is one official xwing night and one alternate xwing night (Tuesday/thursday).

I usually stick to a (good/enjoyable) list for at least a couple of weeks or longer but others change almost every game.

One night every month or so. 3 games with as much variety as possible.

It used to be a regular board games night, but has been taken over by X Wing for now.

I understand this would be considered less than casual, and we make no pretence at being good, but it is cracking fun.

These days, .3 or so a week. Would like a nice larger number there but holidays and retail.

I usually get 3 to 7 games in a week, 2 or 3 on Thursday nights at league and 4 at a tournament each weekend.

I usually use competitive builds at league and torunaments, but I use the few games before league to try out wacky builds and ships I don't usually use.

2-3 games every Monday evening at the local game pusher.

Living in the 'silicone valley of wargames' (nottingham) in the UK I tend to have a lot of players in the local area.

Thing is though we play a lot of different games in our group of mates (Scythe, Lords of Waterdeep, Kings of tokyo/new york, etc etc and a lot of tabeltop RPGs) but we tend to play Xwing about once or twice a month. However when we do we tend to get three or more games in of an evening.

So, on average about once a week but the odds of it being every week are unlikely.

I'm more likely to have a 'burst' of playing xwing and play four to six games in a week then not play it for a month or so.

List wise we try and play 'fun stuff' rather than 'i know this wins tourneys' stuff. Usually we'll play either a 'classic' list we have played for a while liek three ace interceptors or we'll muck about with new stuff out in the recent wave. For example i've currently been playing three ARC170s

Play a lot of scenarios too.

Per month - usually 2 matches of X-Wing, 1 Armada, and 1 Imperial Assault.

I play 2 times a week, 2-3 games each day.

Unless I'm preparing for a tournament or someone wants to face something in particular I almost always change lists game to game.

There's a regular Wednesday evening X-Wing, Armada, and Attack Wing night at Athena Games here in Norwich. I'll usually get 2-3 games in of an average evening, and usually stick with the same list over the course of the evening to maximise play time rather than spend more time on setup and takedown.

There's also an informal but semi-regular "Spaceship Sunday", where we'll spend most of the morning and afternoon playing X-Wing. That's normally 3-4 games over the course of the day, but it's more of a once or twice a month type of thing. So overall I'm probably averaging 3-4 games of X-Wing a week, with about two lists a week played.

Armada I only play about once a month, but it's a game I'm gradually getting more into. If only there were more hours in the day for tiny spaceship games!

Usually get 2-3 games in a week. My preferred LGS is pretty casual & I try out different builds.

At my alternate LGS, they allow just one list (in store tourney). At the very least, it forces you to really focus on what you've brought and to learn those ship/card combos.

Including the Vassal league, 1-3 per week, if that.

It depends on my son's behaviour whether I can get some in at home. Otherwise, I do 1 evening and 1 weekend tournament per month max, to make sure I spend time with the wife and the other sons.

I get out maybe 1 or 2 nights a month and get 1-2 games per night. So I am lucky if I average 1 game a week.

Still, the boys are just getting old enough to play so I get to vicariously enjoy the odd game at home.

I was getting around 10 or so games a week, more if a tournament was happening. But it has gone down to about 3 a week. Unless I make it to a tournament on the weekend.

There is a Thursday game night at my FLGS. I usually get 3-5 games in total depending on the night.

That number is likely to decline sharply, I'm about to have the pitter patter of little feet in my house.

  My local game store is actually about to close on Sunday, and I will now have to drive to another town to get in any games until other arrangements can be figured out.

Once every two weeks. I work a lot.

Once a week, but we do various things on that one night. HotAC, standard play, scenarios...

Once a month I'll hit a tournament.

The semi-regular Spaceship Sunday at the FLGS means around 3-4 games every other week or so.

It's kinda variable...

On a Sunday I'll usually manage to get about 2 games, depending on my availability and/or the availability of other people at my lgs.

On a Thursday (if I can make it down to my lgs) I'll get 2-3 games in. Although work managed to keep my chances of getting down there on a Thursday at about 25-30%.

And last but not least, I manage to get regular(ish) sessions in with a buddy of mine. Usually 2 games once every couple of weeks.

I'd say that averages out to 3-4 games a week. Not as much as I'd like.

In terms of lists that I fly; I chop & change a fair bit. I can build lists faster than I can test them. Once I have a few games with a list I'll know whether I like it or not at which point it's either consigned to oblivion or archived for future use. If I really like it then it'll enter a state of perpetual readiness and be assembled ready to fly by default.

I'd say I'm about 50/50 between testing new stuff and keeping my hand in with my favourite lists.
