Yeah, I totally went the other way. My first thought was, why take these over X-Wings? The ability to Jan ball is not to be underestimated, especially when you can now add Biggs to that Jan ball.
I think Snipe is pretty fun and useful, but E-Wings by no means replace X-Wings. Escort is really great.
Aside from being a way around Escort and Counter, E-Wings will be interesting in that once in a good position they won't really need to move much. So, great with Yavaris or fleets that don't want to use squadron commands. Also good for picking off any wounded squadrons.
