Thant's a transport with an X-Wing flying in the foreground. Cause of the action shot it blurs and kind of looks like one ship in the still. At least I think so...
DEFINITELY new capital ship in Rogue One
Just noticed the guy all the way in the lower right of that frame. Any ideas on that one?
Maybe just an odd angle of the Hammerhead cruiser?
But here is the ultimate question: Are we finally going to see these capital ships FIGHTING, shooting this time? That annoyed the heck out of me in the original trilogy that the only rebel capital ship we see actually shoot is the Tantive IV. Especially during the BoE. Urg. I want a fleet battle for the Empire era to rival that awesome Coruscant scene in RotS ![]()
In the background that's a Medium Transport.
For now the confirmed ships in this rebel fleet are:
Corellian Corvettes
Nebulon B Frigates
Medium Transports
Hammerhead Corvettes
Braha'tok Gunship
Unknown Capital Ship
VCX-100
X-Wings
Y-Wings
At least one U-Wing
And to me the capital ship doesn't look Mon Calamari. It looks more like the big sister of the Nebulon B

It reminds me a bit of the Dauntless-class Heavy Cruiser from the "Star Wars Rebellion" computer game:

That's what I thought from the get-go, and the only reason I wasn't sure was because the other clips made it look like it had a second lower fin towards the front. I am pretty much convinced this is a reimagined Dauntless.
I just don't see a Mon Cal cruiser. Too many straight lines, hard edges, and the fin and tower...
I'll take it - as I told my (unimpressed to say the least ) wife I'm excited to see new capital ships in Rogue One this weekend (and the rest of the movie too!)
Looks more like a Brakiri ship from Babylon 5 Wars...

...or maybe something Vulcan (without the warp drive 'ring')...

Star wars star trek crossover confirmed
From the perspective point of view, the Dauntless Class is suppose to be more stretch than what this ship look's like.
If I make reference to Star Wars Rebellion (PC game).
And to me the capital ship doesn't look Mon Calamari.
Heck, it almost has touches of the 'Assault Frigate Mk.2' that we have in our game.
In any case, I'd be shocked silly if we didn't get it in 'Armada' - it looks well in the right size range for another Rebel 'medium' ship.

This looks like a different ship then, or both sides are not identical, they are facing different directions and some trailers are mirrored?

I think it is a trick of perspective. In the second photo, the ship seems much more shorter (or the ventral fin a lot closer to the prow), but I think it's just a matter of the lateral "ridge", when viewed from the rear, obscuring all the front section of the ship.
BTW, has somebody recognized which ship is at the upper left corner of the second image (just above the X-Wing at the left side of the image)?

The small one above the X-wing to the left is a GR75, the one above that is a Braha'tok-class gunship which is seen on the lower right as well.

I think he meant the one to the top left of the ISD.
-Edit- Whoops. Nevermind.

VCX-100 Sighted.
The bottom left cloud cover has a very familiar shape. I cant un-see it now.
Hrm.... this new ship...
You know, I don't like to be a nay-sayer, and I'm a big SW fan.
But I'm kinda glad you Rebels will be saddled with this one. It's kinda ugly.

Spot on. The second image we're actually seeing the ship from further back than we're led to believe. The ridge toward the stern in the first image is obscuring the tapering bow from view. Also explains why we originally thought there was a fin toward the front too.

Heh. You mean the one that looks like a side profile of the enterprise?

Less ugly than the assault frigate...*oof* that thing is an eye crime...
I dunno... part of me is hoping it is nice and elegant and fun to play with to make it the center of THAT task force. 3 CR90s, a couple of Nebulons, a GR75 flotilla, and a few X-Wing squads with a VCX? Maybe sub the hammerheads in for another GR flotilla?
Yeah that's 500 points, but who cares. It's Rogue One. Pit all of that against a couple of overloaded ISD-Is with TIEs for a Blockade Run mission.

Yup.
I suppose the Rebellion is just aesthetically challenged.
I would say that we should not hull/body-shame the Rebellion, but.... I don't believe in not hull/body-shaming the Rebellion.
Don't care what it is so long as its on a medium base.
That ship in the top left looks a lot like an MC30

Unfortunately it's a GR75 with a fighter behind it.
Minor spoiler about the big ship:
It's the flagship of the Rebel Alliance, and indeed a Mon Calamari ship. It is never referred to by name.
Edit: another, major spoiler deleted.
