Seven points is like 3 or 4 points too much... Derlin would be a good candidate for 2.0 points reduction..

Also it would be nice if in the future they would attach discard effects onto these cards as well because there are too many better cards in this slot. Something like the following on Derlin would much improve his standing versus the rest of the officers:

when you overlap or are overlapped by a ship you may discard this card to receive 1 less damage card.

or putting conditions on cards that increase their usefulness for performing tasks in the game like this:

when you activate, if you are at distance 1-2 of the station, you may refresh major Derlin.

Would certainly go a long way to improving the card without having to increase its base cost since now part of its cost is being externalized onto the game state
