I used to buy 100pts of lowest PS pilot per ship. But that changed (there were a few exceptions, mostly the big ships. I just didn't care about them very much). Now I usually just buy 2 each unless something super special is going on. And only 1 of all the special / epic packs...

I only buy Resistance (yes, 5 T-70s and Falcon in this collection) with honorable mention of Moldy Crow.

I have also bought Slave I as I really love the ship! That led me to start playing Scum and now I buy SW: Rebels stuff for Scum.

So I can say I tend to buy in uniform Squadrons. T-70s for Resistance and Fang Fighters for Scum (I have 2 now but I am planning to get another 2).

I also trade/collect crew cards (and alt-art pilots) of Bounty Hunters which were hired by Vader to catch Millenium Falcon. Only Bossk (crew) and IG-88 (crew) are missing from this collection.

No TFA yet. But that's probably going to change with upcoming Quadjumper, and the fact that I also now possess alt. Red Aces (my poor wallet).

Oh, and a few more Tie FO's as I only have 3. I want a few more for Epic games. If that's the case, I really need more T-70's as I tend to be the one to supply all the epic ships. I could do without them, though.

I've flown 4 at a time in tournaments and done very well. This was even before the "fixes".

Yeah, I started playing Casual when I had bought the CR-90 and I just wanted to use it after spending money on it. I found a way to use it as I insisted on playing a game with it. I'm glad I did as I really enjoy Epic. There's something more Star Wars-ian about it.

Yes that would count. Clearly you need 400pts or 12 of each small base, 6 of each large base in order to have a non-weird collection habit.

For now I am settling for 2 of every small and 1 of each large and huge with a few extra of the core set and swarmer types, X's, Z's, ln's and fo's

If I ever win the lottery though I'm getting:

12 of each core set and aces expansion

12 of each small ship expansion

12 Gonzati and Transports

2-4 of each large

4 each Corvette class

So, for example that would give me a complete 36 ship fighter wing of X-Wings and 60 Ties.

I tend to buy 1 of each. I generally only buy multiples for my main squadron which is imperial. Those TIE strikers are going to set me back...

Correct, but I knew that I would never have enough for a swarm, so I gave both TIEs to a friend who plays Imps alot. I actually don't have any TIE fighters at all anymore!

I would love to buy 100 points (or so...) of each ship, but that just doesn't work for me.

So, instead, I buy 1+ of each release. The "+" comes in on ships that have multiple releases (X-Wing, TIE Figher, Z-95, etc.). Whenever I end up with a "+" I buy another of the general release. Heroes of the Resistance meant that I went after another T-70 X-Wing (bringing my total T-70 count to four). I already have the Falcon, so the HotR Falcon doesn't mean that I'll get another falcon until the third YT-1300 releases. If/when I buy another Gozanti, there will be another two TIE Fighters coming shortly afterwards.

Sometimes I buy for no true reason, hence my fleet! I do supply ships for my son, so really everything I have is "ours."

I do need to get all five Imperial Phantoms on the table at once tho!

Not sure if this is related to your previous statement, but well done sir...

I try to create a certain balance for each of the three factions without having to buy everything.

The collection is rather small in comparison to many others I read about, but has enough diversity to create different squads.

Currently rebels have 2X, 2B, 1 YT-1300 and the interchangeble HWK-290 and Y-wing

Imperials have 3 TIE/ln, 3 Squints, 2 Bombers, 1 Phantom, 1 Advanced, and 1 interchangeble Firespray

Scum have 1Y, 2 Z95´s, 1 Star Viper, 1 Mist Hunter, 2 Scyks, and the above mentioned interchangeble HWK-290, Y-wing and Firespray.

I might add the ARC-170 depending on the contents of the missing SKU

also Imperial Veterans.

Does anyone else collect x-wing miniatures in weird ways? I'll only buy ships that I can see in the original trilogy. Nothing from Rebels, the Force Awakens or the EU. If Rogue One is good though I'll be buying those ships since it's the correct time period.

I am the same way only I have one additional restriction, and that is I don't buy what I consider to be "character" ships such as the Millennium Falcon, Slave I, Tie Advanced, etc.

Did you ever see that mission I was working on with 4 Tie Punishers? I need to tweak it a bit, but I had fun with it. It was a squad of Punishers and a Gozanti w/ escort blowing up a Pirate Base. It was fun, even if unbalanced yet.

I buy at least one of everything so my collection is not unusual but the way i game is different to most.

I only play games against 'historical' factions and dont do mirror matches.

so while i'll play Scum Vs Empire, Empire Vs Rebel, Rebel vs Empire, FO Vs 'tance etc i wont play Empire Vs FO or Rebel vs Rebel. (i would do scum vs scum if non of the characters doubled up).

I know to most people 'game' trumps 'story' but I have to be able to envision it as an actual star wars universe battle in some way and while there are inconsistancies (Biggs fighting say Palpatine) I can't get on with 'rebel vs rebel' 'training missions' where Luke in an xwing shoots at Han in which a clone of himself is the gunner

Luckily nearly everyone i game with feels the same way and i don't do tournaments.

We have also experimented lately with timeline gaming and trying to fit games into 'eras' So playing a 'battle of yavin' dog fight between Tie, Tie Adv, Xwing and Y wing etc or an endor game with ships seen in the movie as being there with pilots listed as being there.

But collection wise i like to have most models, sometimes really for the cards.. like i could have lived without two starvipers but i play Tie Ints a lot so autothrusters came in handy. I *could* have proxied them as withing my normal gaming opponents we run off squad builder print outs but occasionally i play new friends and i feel bad about proxying stuff then

In general I only own doubles if they have come in different packs (e.g. Aces, Veterans etc). I do have most of the Rebel and Imperial ships up to Wave 8 by now though.

Why no Wave 9 yet? Well, Christmas is coming.
