Dampener for the untouchable?

By bladerunner_35, in Dark Heresy

I am wondering if there in some book are rules for a dampener as per the untouchable in the Ravenor trilogy? I also understand that the rules for untouchables are spread out between books, specifically the Inquisitors Handbook and Disciples of the Dark Gods, is this correct?

On a side note I wonder if there is a way to subscribe to forum topics on this forum, it can get very annoying to dig up old threads to see if they have been answered or not.

Thanks in advance.

Untouchables are in Disciples of the Dark Gods and are revised slightly in Radicals Handbook, but it is essentially an update and not rules part A and part B, either version is complete on its own.

Assuming you're talking about the dampeners used by untouchables in Ravenor, I've yet to see stats for them. They seem to be more of a plotdevice, especially as they are... strange.
An Untouchable simply has no connection to the Warp at all and since I doubt a dampener would be a direct connection to the Warp (aka Corruption points), I doubt they actually exist.

Of course, making unofficial stats for one would be easy.

Yea, I always thought it was a little bit too easy for Ravenor to have an on/off switch on his untouchable. Good to know there is no such thing in-game.

Thanks for the info, both of you.

Daemons can use switches too demonio.gif

On topic, yeah a bit too easy. A blank in the Immaterium should come with all its consequences to the surrounding even if that happens to be a Psyker Inquisitor. Deus Ex Machina can work the other way around too: Daemons who don't bend but completely break the rules, like they don't need the Warp (or can generate their own), vessels or conduits. And we don't want that, do we?
