Parting Shot: “When you have suffered H equal to your Health, before you are defeated, you may interrupt to perform an attack. Then, you are defeated.”
Failsafe: "Exhaust this card when an Imperial figure has suffered H equal to its Health. Instead of being defeated, that figure recovers 1H and gains 3 movement points.”
So my question is, can Failsafe be used to save the figure from being defeated by Parting Shot? Technically, the figure using Parting Shot is no longer being defeated for having damage equal to its health, it's being defeated by the ability of Parting Shot (hence why you can no longer use a recover surge ability to save a figure using Parting Shot). Would the controlling player trigger both abilities at the same time and resolve in the order of their choice?
In which case I guess the only way to do it would be to resolve Failsafe first (which does nothing yet but sets up an intercepting shield for when you would be defeated) then resolve Parting Shot, and then when Parting shot defeats you, the resolved "shield" ability of Failsafe sees that you are about to be defeated and steps in to do its magic? And then since you are now at 1HP, you're no longer defeated by game rules. Is that correct?
