Support Cards

By Mogloth, in X-Wing

Hello all.

My question is pretty simple. I have the main and Force Awakens starter sets, plus IG, the Inquisitor and the TIE Defender. 9 ships total. If I pull one pilot card (the one with the most icons for support cards) for each ship should I be able to have enough support cards for all the ships? If so, then I am missing some cards.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure i understand your question.

Do you mean that every expansion pack should have enough cards to fill all the upgrade slots on the ship?

Yes. My terminology probably wasn't the best.

Essentially, should I be able to outfit one pilot for each ship I own if I choose the pilot that has the most upgrade slots?

X-Wing Miniatures Wiki lists all of the components that come with each expansion if you want to check that you've gotten everything that you're supposed to have.

It's not very uncommon for ships to not get a full list of upgrades for that ship, especially Scum small ships don't get a lot of munitions I've noticed... (I've got a bunch of Homing Missiles from my Khiraxz, but they didn't bother with a whole lot of torpedoes for the Fang Fighter and such...)

Would have been nice to get some concussion missiles and proton torpedoes and what-not, so I don't have to buy Rebel ships for that stuff, but then that's FFG's business model for you...

Hey, thanks Helias. I'm still so new to this game that I wasn't aware of that site.

Off to check cards. Hopefully, I have what I am supposed to have.

Ok, it appears I have all the cards I should have. And to answer my question from the OP, no you do not have enough to upgrade every ship with all modifications if you choose the pilot with the most options.

Thanks all for the help.

You don't always want to fill all the slots for all your ships. Often, the full upgrade bar allows for several different ways to outfit a ship and have it serve different roles in your squad. There's situations where having a better-outfitted ship is better, and situations where having one more ship instead is better.

Without a doubt, best explanation I have ever heard for expansion slots on a ship. Well done haslo Sir!

I'm happy you could find an answer to your questions. Best of luck in X-Wing!
