List for a 2v2 tourney

By Kreen, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hey everyone,

My local store has an upcoming tourney with a twist; rather than flying solo, we'll be flying with a randomly assigned partner (who is flying a different faction).

In hopes of designing a proper list for the event, I've been taking some cracks of builds that are decent at support. Only caveat is that ships flown by our partners don't count as "friendly" ships, or ships you control.

Mad Bombers 100pts

Deathfire: (17) 23

Extra munitions (2)

LRS (0)

Cluster Mines (4)

Deathrain: (26) 38

LRS

Advanced Sensors (3)

EM (2)

Conner Net (4)

Proximity Mines (3)

Vessery (35) 39

Elusiveness (2)

Tractor Beam (1)

Twin Ion Engine Mk II (1)

Tie/D (0)

The idea here is, the two bombers grab target locks early on. Vessery tosses any small ships through bombs, and also lowers agility for my partner.

A similar take:

The Best Defense... 98 or 99 pts

Rexler Brath (37) 42

Predator (3)

TIE MKII (1)

Tractor Beam (1)

TIE/D (0)

Maarek Stele (35) (40)

Predator (3)

TIE MKII (1)

Tractor Beam (1)

TIE/D (0)

Epsilon Pilot (15)

With either Sensor Cluster for a total of 99 pts, or Primed Thrusters for 98

Brath and Maarek strip tokens and reduce agility, hopefully throwing small ships into position for my allies. I could also run them with Ion Cannons instead, and downgrade the Epsilon to an Academy Pilot. Gives more utility against large base ships, and a different kind of control.

Or, last but not least.

Boys in Brown 100 pts

4-L0M (27) 35

Predator (3)

Advanced Sensors (3)

Zuckuss (1)

Mist Hunter (0)

Tractor Beam (1)

Palob Godalhi (20) 36

Predator (3)

Ion Turret (5)

Vectored Thrusters (2)

Tactician (2)

Moldy Crow (3)

BMST (1)

Torkil Mux (19) 29

Ion Turret (5)

Vectored Thrusters (2)

Tactician (2)

BMST (1)

This list would try and close to range 2 as fast as possible, and then stay there or at range 1. Tactician, 4-L0M, Palob, Torkil, BMST, Tractor Beam...the list can throw out any number of debuffs, and soften the enemy up, both for itself (Predator triggers off of Torkil) and for the allies. Not sure if it is strong enough to really hold its own though, if my ally gets alpha striked or brings another support list.

So, thoughts? Do I scrap everything and go with another list? Do I mod one of these lists and go with it? Or do I skip the tourney and join a travelling circus? Thanks in advance.
