Biv Bodhrik and using a Pistol?

By Payens81, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hi everyone,

just checking to see if there is any rules for an against Biv Bodhrik using a pistol. I can't think of or find any that would prevent it. But it kind of seems here attaching a Vibrobayonet to a Pistol.

Thoughts?

For Campaign.

Yes, you can attach Vibrobayonet to any ranged weapon with at least one upgrade slot.

Also note that Vibrobayonet is worded so that it is available with the melee attack of Close and Personal regardless of which ranged weapon is used for the ranged attack part of Close and Personal. So Biv may be carrying two ranged weapons just so that the other can have the Vibrobayonet and free up the slot from his other ranged weapon.

A pistol with a blade attached to it doesn't seem that strange, it's been done in a lot of other fantasy and sci-fi franchises. Pirates actually did it historically so they wouldn't have to spend time holstering a pistol and drawing a sword after they used up their single shot. I find it interesting the stuff that people get thematically hung up on.

If you just use your imagination, anything is possible to be explained.
