Help! Are these introductory lists balanced agaist each other?

By MaxPower, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Dear nerds,

me and a friend each have a small but decent collection but have not been able to play yet apart from once which went downhill quickly - there were just too many effects, rules etc to keep track of. So we'd like to opt for minimal fleets. So here's the question: are these lists balanced against each other?

[ REBEL FLEET (277 points)
Assault Frigate Mark II B (72)
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51)
2x CR90 Corellian Corvette A - Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (51)
4x X-wing Squadron (13)
against
[ EMPIRE FLEET (278 points)
Imperial II-class Star Destroyer - Leading Shots (124)
2x Raider II-class corvette - Ion Cannon Batteries (53)
6x TIE Fighter Squadron (8)
Thank you for helping out two beginners!

Those should be really fun to play against each other. The objectives will make a big difference.

Going without upgrades is a great idea. You should learn as much as you can about ship movement and game mechanics and then start adding upgrades here and there.

One fun thing you can do is deal random red yellow and blue objectives and see which one you want to play to learn.

Lists look fun. As introduction i liked death match, less to keep track of. Also no admirals.

And the most fun was support officers on the big ships and nav officer on command 2 ships, but no other upgrades. Like that you still feel the pain when you mess up but can correct mistakes.

Some simple dice adding upgrades are ok though.

I would replace the Raider Is with Raider II just to even up the points a bit more (difference of 1 vs. difference of 7). But other than that it looks good! Should make for a fun match.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated! I modified the lists a bit to add just a tiny bit of modifiers so that less luck enters... I hope they are still fine.
