So the latest announcement has brought in fleet command upgrade slot (should have been in wave 2 for Home One concentrate all firepower). Either way it is like here is a new upgrade that only goes with this wave. Wave 3 saw Fleet Support, Wave 4 had the interdictor technology and wave 5 now has fleet command. Is this going to be a trend?

Well wave 2 didn't see any new upgrades.

They did it once for the empire then balanced it for the rebels. That's all so far. Just happened to be put out over 2 waves.

Just like x wing or any other game each wave is going to try to introduce new mechanics to keep things fresh and make you want to buy the ships.

At least they are meaningful and worthwhile upgrades, that other than maybe fleet command, at least are tied to certain ships that don't seem to make previous ships obsolete like X-Wing has a tendency to do.

It's better to me than things like X-Wing, where you would see a ship very similar to an MC80 suddenly get better upgrades, and then noone takes the old boring MC80 any more.
