Hi,

I came up with this twin Arc list and wanted to get some views around it.

Norra is there to punish in the early game and Shara for the later game, Tarn to frustrate the living daylight out of the opponent.

Thoughts?

Push/bb8 better than outmaneuver/bb8. You can get a focus after the barrel roll then target lock if you don't bump.

I follow you but I have zeb on there, planning to get up close, maybe bump. But at the same points, its worth a play test though. Thanks

I guess having that extra action is worth more than the 1 reduced evade

The builds you have on Shara and Tarn look good (although I highly recommend M9-G8 on Tarn. The flexibility of that build is incredible, and really helps out your offensive output).

Here's some general rules of list building that might apply to your Norra build. Feel free to completely ignore them (I'm not a particularly experienced player after all), but they seem to help me when thinking about list building 1) The more times an ability triggers, the more cost effective it is. Certain abilities can win back their points in a single trigger, some will take longer, but regardless the more times the better. 2) Abilities with triggers that your opponent has some control over are typically "win more" abilities. They will not save you if your opponent is out-flying you (unless you have some means of punishing them for flying in such a way as to negate the ability).

The build you have with Norra does not maximize her potential to use her own ability (because once Shara goes down it will only trigger rarely, and you've essentially locked yourself out of using it defensively), and outmaneuver can be negated by your opponent flying better. So in that case, it's not so much "Is an extra action better than a reduced evade," but "How often will this upgrade trigger and will I be able to maximize the benefit of the outcome every time?" With Norra's ability especially, you can trigger Push the Limit most turns and almost always receive the benefit (even on turns when you're not shooting but getting shot in return).

Another thing to note is that Zeb is a double edged sword, and again can be taken advantage of by your opponent. On a low agility ship, you're unlikely to benefit in the exchange. I would consider swapping him for intelligence agent (which helps you know which direction to barrel roll with BB-8). If you find the points and really want to lower an opponent's agility, consider tailgunner (you have a lot more control over when tailgunner triggers compared with outmaneuver).

Anyway, Norras build is sub-optimal. Both Zeb and outmaneuver are pretty odd picks. Honestly, outmaneuver is probably only going to gome into play once you flown past your opponent. And since that's the case, tail gunner is a much stronger pick. I Think Zev will hurt you more than the other way around. If you wanna go BB-8, then PTL is pretty much a must have. PTL, BB8 and Tailgunner gets you 1 more action, and more reliable agility reduction than the build you have.

Shara and Tarn are OK.

I would look at ficklegreens build for 2 arcs and an x-wing if you havn't played it yet. It's pretty much the following I think:

Norra; PTL, Tail Gunner, Overhaul, Vectored, R2d2

Biggs; r4d6; IA

Braylen; Gunner, R3A2 and Overhaul

From what I remember, usually has vectored thrusters on Braylen. In my playtesting I've found it very helpful on both approach and re-engagement (because usually at some point Braylen manages to clear out his stress).

Another version that I'm fond of replaces Braylen with Thane Kyrell (Proton Torpedoes, Tactician, R3-A2, Title and Guidance Chips).

your Norra build and strategy is asynergistic with her ability.

Norra isn't designed to punish in the early game, she's good at surviving into the late game.

You're dumping points into stuff that doesnt work, i.e. not having Push, not having R2-D2, having Shara Bey at all with Norra, but most importantly not using Biggs when you have two ARCs on the table

Norra is going to die like, turn 1, and then Shara is there for nothing and dies immediately after, and all you have is an X-Wing that can't do anything on it's own

Everyone uses outmaneuver in their early days of list building but trust me it's almost never worth it. BB-8 sounds great on paper but you're not even kitted for optimal BB-8 play, and ARCs just aren't fast enough or durable enough to not basically need regen.

Just add Push The Limit on Norra. There is no other EPT you want with her. Get rid of Zeb, you dont want a 1 agi ship to be taking range 1 shots, even if they do bump you as most things have FCS or Dengar crew or Predator or Palps or some other means of dice mods than tokens. If you have the M9G8 bot, that makes Norra hit hard, consistently.

Changed your list a bit, its a good starting off point, then just change a few things here and there as you gain experience flying the Arcs:

Shara can now TL and Boost, either out of enemy arc and then shoot with her butt, or boost into range 1 for a range 1 full modded shot. R7-T1 can always be substituted for BB8, but I find it easier to get butt shots boosting passed someone. Standard default Norra build as it is effective, efficient, and proven to be a pain in the arse 1v1. If you dont have r4d6 for biggs, just toss any 1pt bot on him.
