Thrawn:
Any or All Friendly ships gets the Fleet Command and Fleet Support upgrade slots, aswell as an extra Officer upgrade slot.
Or
All Friendly ships may have one extra upgrade slot of any type.
There problem solved
I think it should be either reserves that can come in at you choice of time or re-deploy by 1. Shows his master planning.
The Chimeras extra firepower isn't planning, it's well trained and drilled crews, maybe a "elite gunnery team" slot for the extra 2 dice, that would be nasty as a title with gunnery teams at the moment and potentially expanded ordnance for a IMP 1 (which if I remember correctly Chimera was) based on the above suggestion of the title....

An admiral whom:
- Can be exhausted to act as a ship activation
- Will let you redeploy a ship after deployment phase
- Will let you reroll 1 die while attacking as a ship
- Will let a ship discard a defense token to recover 2 shields (once per game per ship)
- Reduces the number of command dials on command-2 and command-3 ships by 1
- Does nothing and costs around 15 or so points
Admiral Piett 35 points
When attacking from the front arc only, you may add 2 blue dice to the attack pool at medium range vs ships and 1 blue vs Squadrons.
Probably medium/large ships only. Or flotillas can't use the dice
Edited by TallGiraffeGeneric 15-10 point admirals would be nice too.
Thrawn: At setup, you may pick from yours or your opponent's objectives, then pick if you will be first or second player.
OR: when you acquire an objective token, score five additional points at the end of the game for each.
How about this for Thrawn? On the 3rd and 5th rounds, you may choose which ship your opponent activates first? Seems simple and a lot less complex compared to other Thrawn ideas I have seen.
Admiral Piett 37ish? points: Your ships may fire twice from the front arc.
Admiral Thrawn 0 points: Increase your list point value by 10% rounded up. (These points may/may not be used on squadrons?)
Edited by GadgetronI like the what was laid out in the new Destiny preview for Palpatine:

I could totally see him doing something like this, requiring opponents to deal with auto-damage.
Thrawn is a master strategist, (according to canon, not legends). That said, how about he can change the set up rules? As in modify one players set up zone, bigger/smaller OR he lets you adjust your ship set up AFTER your opponent is done, (ie half your ships may be moved by distance 1 after set up). Just some of my thoughts
Thought that came to me as I was reading this list, what about something like Thrawn lets the Empire player pick the mission. Yes it is powerful, but if it cost a bit I do not think it is game breaking, and kind of follows the fluff (as I understand it, am no expert by any stretch). If that is to powerful, maybe kind of the same but less powerful (?) still pick but regardless of who is player one/two must pick from Thrawns missions?

I hope they make the emperor mad expensive but also scary and thematic.
Something like this:
At the end of turn 5 you can deal 3 facedown damage to 1 enemy ship.
But have him cost like 40-50 points.
That way he's like a cost sink in the beginning but can turn around battles late game.
In truth, i just want an excuse to say: "Fire at will commander!"
Edited by veggie247For the Emperor, I would like;
"Exhaust this card to activate one enemy ship this turn as if it were your own".
Admiral Statura
"Your fleet must include only T-70 X-Wing Squadrons."
Or something else...
Emperor Palpatine, Commander, Unique, 50 points: Once per game, you may announce a fully operational battle station. Target one enemy ship and roll six red dice, resolve all hit and critical results as normal. This attack cannot be obstructed.

My current idea for Thrawn or Palpatine goes like this:
"After determining initiative, but before choosing objectives, you may discard this card to force the second player to replace one objective card of your choice with a new objective of the same color."
This would be a cool mechanic that is thematically appropriate to a puppet master and enable a direct manipulation of objective choice for both players. Second player will be slightly disadvantaged, but can pick a new objective that still plays to their strength. It can also be used defensively to deny an opponent an objective that they will excel at, such as Superior Positions or Advanced Gunnery.
I'd like a 20 point commander that adds +1 squadron capability to every ship in the fleet. It's not that crazy, seeing as adding +1 squadron is already known to be worth 5 points.

It should only apply to a max of 4 ships then. What if I run a five or six ship list? What if I run a flotilla jamboree? Suddenly those 20 points are punching way above their weight.
It's a good idea, it just shouldn't be fleet wide as edge cases are still a thing no matter how rare.
I would like an Imperial commander to encourage the use of the humble Tie Fighter. Something like
Admiral ???? 22 Points.
At the beginning of turn one add a brace token to all of your squadrons with the TIE Fighter Squadron type.
Or possibly expand it to all with the swarm rule or all with 3 hull but this would bleed into interceptors or Jumpmasters.
I'm not too bothered about giving Howlrunner/Mauler a second brace as with only 3 hull it won't make as much difference as if it were a chunky decimator or YV-666.

That might actually be a little too strong but the concept of a Tie Fighter Admiral is something i wanna give 10/10
How about an admiral that lets your Tie fighters reroll their blue anti ship die?
The problem is Rhymer and how powerfull that would be...
So maybe include an * that says this only works if you ONLY have Tie Fighters.
Edited by veggie247I'd like a commander that allows a ship to overlap the maneuver tool when moving.
giving tokens to generic squadrons is a bad idea. Currently there is no way to differentiate between repeat squadrons because there is no reason to, adding a brace to them would require markings as leaving the brace near their base would get lost QUICK
An alternative would be to give the Commander Card itself the braces, and any squadron may use them as needed. Make it 4 braces for 20pts.
