Say I use the Action Trigger on the .45 Automatic which reads:

Spend 1 ammo: FIGHT. You get +1 Fist for this attack. This attack deals +1 damage.

So I spend the ammo and I now Fight. Can I still use cards in my hand to add more +1/+2 Fist to this attack?

Yes, you can still committ cards to the skill test to give you an advantage. You can also use other assets like Physical Training to boost your stat as long as you have the resource to pay for it.

Yep, just be careful with assets that use as different skill test instead. Shrivelling, for example uses intellect for a Fight action, so you would only be able to use head icons and not fist icons to assist in that instance, even though it is a Fight action.
