Foul Mouthed ?

By Parzival2, in WFRP Rules Questions

I just got my copy of The Adventurers tool Kit.

Flipping through the cards, I stopped to take a look at this one....because if I ever get a chance to play a character, it's just the sort of thing I would consider taking.

However I am not sure what this card does. It almost looks like something is missing?

It reads:

" Your Social actions gain:

Boon Boon Your taget moves one step to a more reckless stance"

Your social actions gain what exactly?

Just what it says. You do know how NPCs work right? They have a fixed stance and the GM always converts a number of Characteristic dice to the number of stance dice shown in the profile. For example, a noble is C2 and would roll 2 Conservative dice, 2 Characteristic dice and 1 Fortune die on all Fel tests. If you used Foul Mouthed and got the 2 boon condition, his Fel checks would then be made using one less Conservative die. Since Stance dice are more likely to roll successes than Characteristic dice, you've just reduced his chance of success on future rolls.

For Townsfolk, who are already R1, this would make them R2. While it would make them more likely to succeed on their Fel checks, it would increase their chance of rolling Fatigue. Since NPCs don't take fatigue and it gets converted to wounds, you can literally talk them to death; however, a smart GM will probably have them give up on the social encounter before it gets to this reflecting that they have become exasperated in dealing with you. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Yeah I get that part-but like I said it looks like there should be something in that "mile wide" space in between.

Like , I dunno.....maybe a die symbol?

I have to wonder since the only other I look closely at card (Cavalary Specialist")has a (minor) typo, if every thing in this set is "kosher"
