here is my idea for an Ackbar crew

Admiral Ackbar 6 points 1 crew rebel only

At the begining of the combat phase every freindly ship may preform a free evade action.

would this make anything Broken? I can think of two ships that would benifit a lot.

Tycho with rage and PTL could move then rage. then at the start of the combat phase evade the push boost. giving him a focus evade psuedo TL and a PS 12 boost.

Corran with FCS and PTL. he could move then focus. Then have Ackbar give him evade, push boost or BR. That would possibly open up his EPT as he would get to precombat move.

are either of those more powerful than X7 defenders ryad or vess?

Any other OP combos i missed?

Maybe 4 points and one use. After you've learned its a trap how would continuing to learn its a trap help anymore?

How about it keeps working as long as you can keep comming up with different words to shout which make at least passable puns (however in a tournament or campaign situation the list of used puns is retained across all the games).

Ackbar also coordinated the attack after declaring the trap. I personally think he needs a double sided card. A one time use "get out of dodge" ability, and a constant ability on the other side that reflects his overall prowness at commanding and coordinating starfighters during combat.

Or 2 sides that make him flip out constantly so to say XD...

For the other side of the card, the one that is not the "It's a trap!" side, a cool probably broken effect:

"Concentrate firepower!"

At the beginning of the combat phase you may discard a target lock you have on an enemy ship.

If you do so, all other friendly ships must acquire a target lock on that ship.

This sounds great.

You'd need to put in wording to make sure it starts on the 'it's a trap' side though, unless you want people to be able to ignore that side entirely if it's not worth it.

I love Ackbar, but I always think its funny when I watch the movie and he wants to run away until Lando convinces him to stay. I like comparing my memory of how Ackbar is, to what he actually does!

I agree, if there is any card for "It's a trap!" then that card should force all friendly ships to flee the board unless Lando is on the mat. And maybe the Lando card should give a free target lock for any friendly ships within range one of an enemy ship. If I recall, during the attack on the second Death Star, Lando said, "Yes, I said closer! Move as close as you can, and engage those Star Destroyers at point blank range!" and Ackbar replied, "At that close range we won't last long against those Star Destroyers!" to which Lando made the opposite observation from Ackbar and shouted, "We'll last longer than we will against that Death Star! And we might just take a few of them with us!"

I like the evade for everyone but maybe just "assign" tokens instead of free actions so some ships can get 2 evades in a pinch.

This needs a Condition card... FFG are you listening?

Shouldn't it work the other way around?

At the end of the activation phase, you may discard this card to allow all friendly ships to perform a free manoeuver then assign a stress token to all friendly ships.
