Riposte action card = 2 actions on same turn??

By drallcome, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hi everyone

I got the adventures toolkit and one of the new action cards is "riposte" it says you can use it after you use parry? so am I to understand it as this....

"beastman attacks slayer , slayer uses "parry" action card"

"beastman rolls and generates no succuess , slayer can now use Riposte because beastman missed when slayer used parry" ??

does that sound about right to you? The only problem im having is, can you use one reaction and one active defense card per round? or can you use one of each?

Im sorry if this a dumb question as this is my first pen and paper so im trying to get the hang out it , thank you very much any help you can offer. : )

You can use as many as you can. They've explicitly stated that you can parry, dodge, and block the same attack (assuming you are able). The drawback is that you blow all your defense at once, rather than ration it out.

I don't see anything about riposte that would limit it in any way (other than it recharging). Yes it's cool, but it can only be used under certain circumstances.

Thank you so much for answering my question , you guys are helping out alot !

so does that mean I could use "asses the situation" everytime ? because it says "defense " and no recharge .

Just wondering... Where does it say that you can use more than one defence action card.

Thanks!!

Assess the Situation is an action, not a reaction (it has a circle in the upper left rather than a shield). Yes, you could use it every turn, but it's your action that turn. It's labeled defense because it gives you a defensive bonus.
