Baseball bat and Wendy's ability !
I would never have thought that it would be the same for the grotesque statue. Thks for asking.

I think the Grotesque Statue would cause the Bat to be discarded if one of the two tokens revealed is a a tentacle.

Mplain's quote above is a direct response from a co-creator of the game. So effectively it seems that most effects like this act as if the other token was not drawn/revealed/etc. I am hesitant to say that, because Matt Newman says that theoretically there could be effects that act different, but as the game is played now (and with the cards we have now) the above is correct. Grotesque Statue does not cause the discard of the Bat in your scenario.

Matt's answer was for Wendy's ability, not the Statue. His quote does include this:
"Hypothetically, if a token is only partially ignored or canceled (for example, if a card effect said “Ignore this token’s modifier,” or “Cancel the effects of this token”), that would be a different story. In that case the token still would have been revealed, and only part of it is ignored or canceled. In such a case, effects that would trigger off of that type of token being revealed would trigger."
The Statue says:
"When you would reveal a chaos token, spend 1 charge: Reveal 2 chaos tokens intead of 1. Choose 1 of those tokens to resolve, and ignore the other."
You're not canceling anything with the Statue. You're simply ignoring its effect, so by the above quote, effects that trigger off the revelation of a specific token type would still trigger. Especially considering the Statue tells you to reveal 2 tokens. That heavily implies the revelation is completed, not canceled, for both.
Greetings,
Great question! If a token is “canceled" or “ignored” in its entirety (such as through Wendy’s ability or Grotesque Statue’s ability), you should treat that token as if it had never been revealed at all. All of the token’s effects are canceled or ignored, and any effects that would trigger off of that type of chaos token being revealed (like Baseball Bat) do not trigger. Abilities like this should almost always be followed up by revealing a new token to take its place.Hypothetically, if a token is only partially ignored or canceled (for example, if a card effect said “Ignore this token’s modifier,” or “Cancel the effects of this token”), that would be a different story. In that case the token still would have been revealed, and only part of it is ignored or canceled. In such a case, effects that would trigger off of that type of token being revealed would trigger. So, if you used Wendy’s ability to cancel a Skull token, and then drew a 0 token, Baseball Bat would not get discarded, because the Skull token was canceled in its entirety. Thanks! =)------------------------------------------------Matthew Newman
You're still ignoring the token, not the token modifier. He specifically lumps the Grotesque Statue in with Wendy's ability, mentioned in the first part of his response.
Exactly, i was sure that Wendy ability canceled the token so that the bat was not discarded, but i really believed that it was not the case with the statue. I thought that both token were revealed but just one applied its effect. But Mr Newman said that after having chosen the token the other one is just ignored and considered not being revealed.
That seems slightly at odds with the actual language of the cards.

How else should you interpret "ignore" or "cancel" other than, you know, pay no attention to it, act as if it never happened, etc. Both these abilities talk about either ignoring or cancelling the token, not its effects, the whole token. I think this is wholly in keeping with the wording on the card, and is the interpretation of the guy who wrote the thing. Why are we trying really hard to make this game even more difficult?!
