I've had a design sitting around for a long time of a Star Jewel x-pac with Z-95 wingmen. Is epic allowed in?
We're not going to do epic ships, unfortunately. The goal at the end of the development process is to run a tournament at 100 points with the custom ships, and epic ships don't work well in that context.
Okay, so if I am reading the rules correctly, you cannot use any ability that has been previously used in an X-Wing product. So here is my question. I am going to do a ship that has both a forward and rear facing firing arc. I wanted to give it a title that gave it basically the same ability as the Tie/SF title. If I can't do that, can I just try to reword the ability to create the same effect?
Interesting question. I would say that you can definitely make a card that basically achieves the same effect. Making a card that does the exact same thing but is reworded is probably not good.

Alright, I'll take my Z-95 ideas and maybe do something with the Scyk to make a "Hutt Cartel Aces" pack

EDIT: added Ahsoka Tano. Since her ability in the Sabine's TIE Fighter isn't impressive, added a whole new one for Ace (and Vader) killing (but maybe too powerful. specially for the price). Is the wording correct?

My Bwing halfpack and Xwing Halfpack are as ready as they can be without more playtesting. This is entry 1
My Punisher halfpack needs work on the missile side, but reviews well on the bomblaying side. Tie Intercepter halfpack is still percolating. If ready in time, this will be entry 2
N-1 Naboo Starfighter has pilots, statline and dial, and will borrow some cards from the Xwing halfpack, but needs more eyes. Will have a separate post once I've filled out the card list. Entry 3
Question for you all.
It's a free defensive upgrade with a drawback that PTL aces hate, and is useful in direct proportion to how useful PTL is. Your tie fighter is armored to shrug off hits, but they destabilize the craft, forcing you onto a predicable path until you get it under control or get blown up.
The question is, is it GOOD ENOUGH? Even as an autotake 0 cost mod, would you actually USE it in, say, a howlswarm, often enough for it to matter?
I think that would be an auto take on soontier since it gives him everything he could ever want but that is more of a niche selection, maybe make it once a round? Its an 'ok' card but it doesn't really help low agi TIEs and just helps high agi TIEs even more. It would make yorr+palp and more popular take for sure

No, it's only forbidden to copy/past an ability or a card which already exist. You can quote other cards (like on the Myst Hunter Title)
for exemple :
Juno eclipse ability is
"When you reveal your manoeuvre, you may increase or decrease its speed by 1 (to a minimum of 1)."
I cannot put this ability as a firespray-31 modification/title but I can toying with this mechanic and submit a card which say :
"When you reveal a turn manoeuvre, you may increase or decrease its speed up to 2 (in a range between 1 to 3)."
Am I correct Babaganoosh ? I also have a question about this restriction : can we use a condition card which already exist ? (like a Darth Maul pilot who deal "I'll show you the dark side" if he perform an attack who doesn't hit)

You not have to create a scyk ace part. You can submit a 1-ship Ace pack if you want.

Though I would speculate that a 2 ship pack would have twice the potential audience of a 1 ship pack...
How much leeway is there for creating new weapons? Fiddling with some new ordnance ideas that as far as I can find have no mention in starwars but would be well within the technical capabilities of the Galaxies inhabitants to produce.

You should be careful abut making it too playable- there's enough ordinance fixes floating around, real and custom, that can mess with the balance you intended.

You're right, and I see no reason why we wouldn't be able to re-use condition cards. Interesting idea!
Building a card series (2 Tech upgrades and a condition card) for Slave Circuitry currently. Wasn't happy with my Vigilance so started work on a different ship. Will be posting it soon.

I feel 0-1 pts is about right for this upgrade since it is so limited and feel it is thematic for its name and what it does. But unsure if this "nerfs" secondary weapons to much. Maybe add a if you are unstressed clause or a once per turn?

When you reveal a straight maneuver, you may rotate your dial to a bank maneuver with the same speed. If you do, if you would remove a stress token during the 'check pilot stress', do not remove a stress token.

Pretty much a different take on stay on target/navigator. Its the co-pilot that is paying attention to where you are flying and tries to make a slight course correction. Instead of an added stress mechanic I added a do not remove stress mechanic to make it a lot harder to "get around". (could also call it "fancy maneuvors" from family guy star wars if you want)

He means the file from your strangeEons (or the card editor you use) if the comitee want to ajust the wording or the cost of a card. Strange Eons is avaible >>here<< for free if you need.

Yes; I'm basically asking for the strange eons file, because if your entry wins in the first round of voting, then I will make that file available to everyone so that they can easily modify and submit revised versions of it. If you use another software to make your cards, you can submit the files used for that instead of strange eons files.

Too much? Or, considering it blocks Royal Guard AND soontier' ability, is it too little?
To little I'd say, aside from Jax and soontier all the other interceptors are trash because of no ept, bad pilot abilities, and die just to easily. The title fixes the ept problem, and kinda helps stress issues, pretty much staples ptl to the card. I'd play around with that title in a few games and see how it goes.
