Descent seems to be growing larger and larger as time goes by...

So far (Errata 1.6) Descent 2nd Edition has "piled up" more Errata than I care to check for every time I start a game session.

I am relatively new to the game and so far I own only the core set, Lair of the Wyrm, Labyrinth of Ruin and Oath of the Outcast. However, I plan to play this game quite a lot, and perches more expansions.

This brings me to my 2 main points -

1. Is there an "Errata Fix" (or a plan for one) aside for the online file? checking it for errors on cards each time I play seems like a poor solution, what I'm looking for is a reprint of the components with errors. maybe as part of a future expansion or maybe as a "fix set" FFG could provide to people with proof of perches (similar to conversion kits).

2. I noticed FFG "isn't big" on providing useful box inserts with their games, and while that sometimes sucks, with games like Descent I guess it's a plus as it gives the players the opportunity to make one that suits their needs (if they care enough). The problem with Descent though is that it has gotten so big there is virtually no storage solution that does not include several large 3rd party containers (not meant for the game storage) or using many of the game & expansion boxes. A good storage solution should provide comfortable storage for all the components (accounting for sleeved cards) and shorten setup and folding times by providing stuff like removable trays with frequently used tokens (such as health, fatigue, status conditions, search tokens etc..,) while still using only 1 or 2 containers. I have built one myself that answers my current needs, but it will not last when I buy more expansions. The only other good solution I've seen is the 'Ultimate Descent Box', and that requires quit a lot of work put into it. Would be nice if there was a storage solution similar to it (maybe a bit better on tile storage) that people could buy. So I guess this is a request for FFG or anyone willing to kickstart it - please make a good storage solution for people to buy.

You could make one out of wood? Design one out of 1/4" ply and have the store make all your cuts. You'd only a hand saw with miter box/ miter saw, wood glue, and sand paper. Remember that hardware stores may charge per cut, and that the saw will take off some of the board based on blade size.

Storing all components in 1-2 descent (not 3rd party) boxes is not a realistic expectation. I'm currently using the core box to store all my tiles, and storing them in a way that is pretty efficient, they take up most of the box to the point that I'm unsure another big box of tiles would fit. I'm using the labyrinth of ruin box to hold all the cards, and it is just about full- this says nothing about the tokens and minis.

Consider that in addition to the core box, there are 2 big boxes, 5 small boxes, and 9 hero and monster miniature packs. Trying to squeeze all of that into just the big boxes isn't going to happen.

Some of the cards changed in the errata are included with corrected text in newer printings of the expansions, but FFG does not (and likely will not) offer a separate correction pack. A workable solution if you sleeve your cards is to print out the new text on a piece of paper and put it in the sleeve with the card. Having done this with overlord cards, it is difficult to tell from look or feel alone that the card is different from the back.

Interesting suggestion. I have not worked with wood at all so this could be a challenge, but given enough thought this can happen.I'll have to work out how to make it modular while still being able to assemble it to a sturdy box when I mobilize it. I'm aware storing the game in 1-2 Descent boxes is not realistic, that is why I asked for a new solution (1-2 boxes that aren't part of the Descent boxes). I believe the Ideal solution would be 1 box with 2 main compartments that would store monsters and tiles efficiently, and another box for everything else that will have detachable compartments one could simply take and lay next to him for setup. (I will upload my storage solution for my current descent collection if that is of interest to anyone. I have monsters and tiles in the core box and everything else in Labyrinth of Ruin).

As for the Errata, I was unaware some of the cards were reprinted and added to newer expansions, that is good to hear. (is there a list of what is where?) for the rest of the cards I will try your solution, though it kind of ruins the "feeling" a bit for me to see a paper stuck to the sleeve with corrections. if I could print that paper with the cards design that would be much better. I'll have to look into it.

EDIT: I can't seem to find any information on reprinted cards featured in any expansion, are you sure about that?

Also - does anyone have a "ready for print" file with corrections to the cards that have errata? I know that if I'll try to do it myself I'll end up rage punching my PC for being unable to do it properly... any help would be appreciated.
