Datapad rules clarification

By dherve10, in Star Wars: Destiny

Can you use the special ability of the datapad to change another die to a special facing, and then resolve that die, since it is a special face?

This is actually a rather hotly debated topic. Plenty of people on both sides, and no real definitive answer either way.

The Qui-Gon thread evolved to that, you can read through that for both sides. We're expecting a rules update with the release tomorrow that will answer it for good.

Yes, because picking all the dice you want to resolve, before you resolve them creates this very situation, what if you add more of the same symbol as you are resolving?

I would like to see luck and good strategy rewarded, resolve a special to roll a special, get that in your pool and use it, not wait until later in the turn.

Interesting question. The rules just tell us that we can resolve one or more dice, one at a time, but don't specify when we choose which dice we want to resolve. Timing is super important. If we pick all dice at once, we can't resolve that extra result. If we pick one at a time, we can. Definitely needs an FAQ or Errata.
